Volkswagen Scirocco and Passat CC BlueMotion
VW is is introducing the most fuel efficient versions of the Volkswagen Scirocco and Passat CC which have received the BlueMotion Technology and which also promise a considerable drop in CO2 emissions.
The entry level 2.0-litre engine which packs 140 PS on the Volkswagen Scirocco BlueMotion which is available with a six-speed manual or optional six-speed DSG gearbox, comes with Stop/Start technology and bettery recuperation systems that lower consumption figures from 55.4 mpg to 62.8 mpg (51.4 to 57.6 DSG) and emissions from 134 g/km to 118 g/km (145 to 129 DSG).
H&R HAMANN Fiat 500
As you might know, Fiat’s tuner Abarth has upgraded the power level on the regular Fiat 500 to 135 PS while the German performance specialist HAMANN considered that that was not enough and developed a program which enables the small Italian car to unleash no less than 275 PS.
Well it looks like things didn’t stop there as suspension specialist H&R considered they needed to step in and fitt the H&R HAMANN Fiat 500 with their high-quality suspension components, as 275 HP definitely require an increased level of grip.
Oprah gives 2012 VW Beetle to each of her audience members
Volkswagen decided to release the first official teaser of the 2012 VW Beetle during the most popular talk show on TV, the Oprah Winfrey Show.
Everyone in the audience and at home watching the show could see the silhouette of the new 2012 VW Beetle, Oprah herself being a big fan of this particular German model. The big surprise however during this official teaser presentation was that each audience member at the Oprah Winfrey Show received a 2012 VW Beetle, and we’re talking about 275 people here.
2011 Audi RS3 Sportback video
After publishing full details with the new 2011 Audi RS3 Sportback yesterday, the German manufacturer has also revealed the first video that gives an overview of their latest creation, inside and out.
With a price tag that starts at 49,900 Euro, the 2011 Audi RS3 Sportback will initially go on sale on the automaker’s home market early in 2011 with the rest of the world’s markets to soon follow after that.
The 2011 Audi RS3 Sportback extracts its juice from a 2.5-litre TFSI powerplant that is able to develop 340 horses (250 kW) and 450 Nm of torque, figures that enable the sporty German hatch to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 4.6 seconds.
Subaru Impreza Concept video
After unveiling the Subaru Impreza Concept in Los Angeles last week, the Japanese car maker has also released a computer generated video that shows what the car looks like in motion, with scenes of its interior as well.
The Subaru Impreza Concept features a naturally aspirated 2.0-litre 4-cylinder Boxer engine that sends power to the weeks via a CVT transmission, and which promises lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
FIAT 500 USA commercial video
The next footage represents the first FIAT 500 commercial video that will air in the USA which urges customers to ‘take control of their lives’ and ‘live it with passion’.
The small Italian car which had its public debut at the 2010 L.A. Auto Show last week comes as an intelligent solution to urban mobility, and in case you missed our previous posts, the Fiat 500 price for US will start at 15,500 USD.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS review video
The second part from Fifth Gear’s latest episode involves Jason Plato reviewing the Porsche 911 GT2 RS as he wants to see if Stuttgart’s race bread model can replace the Ferrari 458 Italia as he’s favorite supercar.
The Porsche 911 GT2 RS packs 611 bhp and can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.5 seconds. Top speed is 205 mph (330 Km/h) and its rev dial stops at 6,750 rpm. Where the Porsche 911 GT2 RS scores against the Ferrari 458 Italia is output and top speed as the Maranelo built supercar produces 562 bhp and can hit a maximum 202 mph, but looses points when it comes to acceleration and maximum revs.
Porsche Cayenne Turbo vs Audi Q7 V12 TDI video
A new video from the latest episode of Fifth Gear in which Tiff Needell and Jason Plato play with the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and the Audi Q7 V12 TDI.
For some quick reference the Porsche Cayenne Turbo costs 80,000 GBP, and its turbocharged V8 petrol produces 500 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque, wheres the Audi Q7 V12 TDI has a price tag of 98,000 GBP and in this case power comes from a turbo V12 diesel unit which also packs 500 HP and considerably more torque, 737 lb-ft to be exact.
Jeep Patriot 2.2 CRD
Jeep is introducing a new engine option for the new Patriot, a 2.2-litre CRD diesel which comes with increased fuel efficiency and greater torque.
The Jeep Patriot 2.2 CRD which develops 163 bhp is a Mercedes-Benz sourced engine, and it replaces the current 2.0-litre diesel plant from Volkswagen which produces 140 bhp. Fuel consumption has been lowered to 42.8 mpg (combined cycle), CO2 emissions have also been lowered, and in terms of performance the Jeep Patriot 2.2 CRD sprints from 0 to 62 mph in 10.7 seconds and can now reach a top speed of 125 mph.

Official photos and details with the 2011 Audi RS3 Sportback have just been revealed by the German car maker who this time has packed big performance into a small package.
The 2011 Audi RS3 Sportback is powered by a 2.5-litre TFSI engine producing 340 HP (250 kW) and 450 Nm of torque (331.90 lb-ft), which in terms of performance translate into 4.6 seconds acceleration time from 0 to 100 Km/h (0 to 62 mph) and a top speed of 250 Km/h (155 mph) / electronically limited.
