Honda Small Sports EV, AC X and Micro Commuter Concepts Scheduled to Premiere in Tokyo
Honda plans on stealing the spot light this year in Tokyo as it has planed on revealing no less than seven new concepts in the Japanese capital.
The car concept models among them are the Small Sports EV, a new generation compact sports model that runs on electricity, the AC-X which is a plug-in hybrid that aims at making both urban and long distance motoring comfortable through its spirited or relaxed driving modes, plus the Micro Commuter which is small EV that wants to provide mobility in urban areas.
Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport versions for Middle East
Bugatti has exercised its creativity by introducing three uniquely coloured Veyrons at this year’s Dubai International Motor Show. Based on the Grand Sport, the fastest, most powerful open top car on the planet, these special Veyrons have been exclusively created for the Middle East market.
The first version which costs 1,58 million Euros features a horizontal colour split between bright yellow and visible black carbon and has black tinted wheels. The interior matches the exterior colour combination through yellow leather seats with black stitching, the black carbon center console and the dash, steering wheel and gear shifter which are incased in black leather and feature contrasting yellow stitching.
Mitsubishi PX-MiEV II
As we just mentioned, the second world premiere hosted by Mitsubishi’s stand at this year’s Tokyo Motor Show (apart from the Mirage) will be the Concept PX-MiEV II.
The above mentioned cars represent “two major pillars” in the automaker’s mid-term business plan, with the PX-MiEV II previewing a state-of-the-art powertrain that will extinguish many negative perceptions regarding SUVs, due to its increased fuel efficiency and friendliness to the environment.
2013 Mitsubishi Mirage Revealed
Mitsubishi announces two world premieres for the 42nd edition Tokyo Motor Show. These are the 2013 Mitsubishi Mirage and the PX-MiEV II Concept.
The Mirage is a low cost compact hatch that puts accent on fuel efficiency, which will initially go on sale in Thailand in March 2012, and then will gradually enter other markets.
Its measurements are 3,710 m in length, 1,665 m in width and 1,490 m in height, and according to the company it can accommodate up to 5 passengers.

GM decided to show us what the 2013 Cadillac XTS looks like before their new luxury sedan will premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show next week.
If you remember the XTS Platinum Concept unveiled in Detroit last year then you are surely familiar with how this production version came to existence, with some of the minor differences spotted between the two including slightly modified headlamps, a different looking air intake area next to the fog lights and newly designed alloys.
Buick LaCrosse GL Concept heading to 2011 LA Auto Show
GM announced that it will showcase a concept version based on the LaCrosse sedan at the 2011 LA Auto Show next week.
Even though you might have a hard time finding out what make the Buick LaCrosse GL a concept, GM says this car “expresses Buick’s distinctly human kind of luxury – one that is as warmly inviting as it is elegant and refined”.
Wiesmann MF5 V10 Black Bat
The Germans from SchwabenFolia, a company that specializes in vehicle foliation has decided to make their name heard by outfitting an unique vehicle, the Wiesmann MF5 V10.
Even though the vehicle looks great without the help of aftermarket specialists, we have to admit that this treatment adds even more drama.
The Wiesmann MF5 V10 Roadster is now called the Black Bat and you can easily understand why, considering the main changes include a matte black outer skin and 20 inch forged wheels painted in black.
Seat Altea Electric and Leon Plug-in Hybrid
Seat has been busy working on its first electric car platform, designed, developed and manufactured in Spain.
Their work is not completed, as the company “envisages hybrid and electric car production from 2015” but for now have unveiled prototype versions based on this new technology called the Altea XL Electric Ecomotive and the Leon TwinDrive Ecomotive which will be provided to governmental institutions in Catalonia and Madrid.
2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Teased
You’ve seen it before as leaks have been circulating on the web for some time now, but here are some more photos with the 2013 Hyundai Genesis Coupe, this time officially teased by the Korean automaker through their blog.
Expected to appear at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show in January the new Genesis Coupe looks closely related to the Veloster in terms of design, especially at the front, while at the rear the main changes seem to have addresses the taillights.
Nissan Pivo 3 EV Concept
Curious to find out what Nissan will showcase at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show? Well they have announced the exhibition highlights yesterday, and mentioned a smart urban EV called the Pivo 3 scheduled to be exposed close to two other electric concepts, the ESFLOW and the TOWNPOD.
The Nissan Pivo 3 EV Concept is an urban commuter which can accommodate up to three people, with the driver taking the central position inside the cabin. This pure electric car measures 3 metres in length, has in-wheel motors and narrow-tread rear tires with wide steering angles that enable it to make a U-turn on a 4 meters wide road.
