The Aston Martin V12 Vantage price for US was announced last week, and now the first promo video that celebrates the coupe’s launch in North America has also been released.
The Aston Martin V12 Vantage promo video presents some of the car’s key design features, like the LED headlights, the chromed front grille or the ventilated hood plus the automaker insists on creating a link between the road car and the race version V12 Vantage.
GTA Spano video
The first GTA Spano video comes from CarAdvice who managed to test drive the Spanish supercar on the Ricardo Tormo race track in Valencia.
We have to say that instead of music we would have preferred hearing the engine noise and maybe some commentary regarding the car’s abilities, but anyway it was still good to see the first Spanish supercar in action on circuit.
Video: 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3
This new video with the 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 is a 10 minute presentation that offers visual details with the race car’s key elements.
Some of these elements featured on the 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 include numerous carbon fiber components, a large rear diffuser, a gigantic rear wing plus a ventilated front bonnet. Inside the 2011 Mercedes SLS AMG GT3 drivers will use a 330 mm in diameter racing steering wheel featuring 6 switches, and will be protected by a roll cage.
2011 VW Phaeton
The German company has published new details and photos with the 2011 VW Phaeton over the weekend, with the facelift luxury saloon going on sale in Europe this month while the Chinese market will get it starting from August.
The 2011 VW Phaeton comes equipped with AWD, air suspension and four-zone climate control as standard and is available in two wheelbase versions and with two rear seat configurations (3-seat bench or two individual seats).
Vauxhall Meriva review video
In their latest short review sessions the crew from Autocar test drives the Vauxhall Meriva 1.4T. Apart from its Flex doors and the fact that the new generation is larger than its predecessor, the Vauxhall Meriva 1.4T comes with a turbocharged petrol engine 1364 cc in capacity that produces 138 bhp and 148 lb-ft of torque which spins the wheels via a six-speed manual transmission.
Grid girl faints on Porsche GT3 video
Ronald van de Laar was waiting on his grid position during the ADAC GT Masters when the grid girl in-front on his Porsche 911 GT3 went down as she passed out probably due to exposure to the sun or dehydration.
These things happen and we hope the grid girl is ok, what is a bit concerning is the way Ronald van de Laar reacted, as one of the Dutch speaking YouTube commenters revealed that he was saying ‘check my car, the grid girl fell on it!”, as he was worried about the splitter and flaps at the front of the race car.
GTA Spano new photos
The Spanish supercar company has published new photos with the GTA Spano. Powered by a V10 engine delivering 780 horses and 920 Nm, the GTA Spano is able to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 217 mph (350 Km/h).
Power is sent to the wheels through a seven-speed manual gearbox with sequential shifting and production for the GTA Spano will be limited to just 99 exemplars.
Inden Daihatsu Materia
In their battle for creating the most unique custom cars, sometimes tuners pick already unordinary stock vehicles. This is also the case with the Daihatsu Materia customised by Inden Design which has been nicknamed the ICECUBE and which we have to say, resembles the second generation Scion xB.
The Inden Daihatsu Materia features an VIP mat white body finish with costs 5,500 Euros, a 10 part body kit (448 Euros), a rear diffuser (448 Euros), LEDs incorporated in the front bumper (230 Euros) and carbon fiber door handles and boot lid cover (1,200 Euros).
Coca Cola and Mentos Used as Alternative Fuel
You probably know the kind of reaction that results when you mix Mentos mints with Coca Cola, also known as the Mentos eruption or the Coke geyser.
Well the following video presents the first ‘aplication’ that uses Coca Cola and Mentos as an alternative fuel. A group of ‘scientists’ get together and develop the Coke Zero & Mentos Rocket Car which ‘extracts’ power from 108 bottles of Coke Zero and 648 Mentos mints.

We are not sure if this comparison video done by Fifth Gear’s Vicki Henderson and Tiff Needell which involves a Renault Megane RS vs a Porsche Boxster was done for the sake of performance or just for fun. We say that because there are to many variables that come into play, like track conditions, driver performance (considering they both made ‘mistakes’) and the fact that this is a TV show.
