Video: Citroen DS3 Racing promo
A new promo video for the limited edition Citroen DS3 Racing, which this time features Sebastien Loeb (seven consecutive times WRC Champion – from 2004 to 2010) and a Police man.
Powered by a 1.6-litre THP engine developing 207 horses and 275 Nm of torque, the Citroen DS3 Racing takes 6.5 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 Km/h, and can hit a top speed of 146 mph.
2012 Ford Focus price
The North American automaker has put a price tag on the 2012 Ford Focus which will go on sale in early 2011.
For the range opening version which is the S sedan, the 2012 Ford Focus price starts at 16,270 USD, with the 725 USD destination fees not included.
For the 4-door SE variant the 2012 Ford Focus price begins at 17,270 USD while the SEL which comes with features like 16 inch alloys and SYNC starts at 20,270 USD. The Titanium trim level has been priced at 22,270 USD and in this case the automaker offers 17 inch alloys and a premium sound system.
2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC video
The first video with the 2011 Ford Focus RS WRC has appeared online, at it shows a number of scenes with Blue Oval’s World Rally Championship challenger during tests in Cumbria.
The 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC will compete under the BP Ford Abu Dhabi World Rally Team with the first stage to take place in Sweden in February.
All we know as far as mechanics is that the 2011 Ford Fiesta RS WRC uses a turbocharged 1.6-litre Ford EcoBoost engine and so far the car has totaled more than 3,000 Km during tests that took place in Great Britain and France.
Video: BMW M3 GTS review
One of the most recent reviews coming from Autocar involves the BMW M3 GTS, a limited edition version with only 110 exemplars to be sold, out of which only 15 will make it into the UK.
The BMW M3 GTS is the most exciting version of the M3 made so far, which focuses on performance rather than practicality, as the rear seats have been replaced by a roll cage, and features like air conditioning are also missing.
Ford Focus Sport edition
The Blue Oval’s UK division is launching the Ford Focus Sport edition which combines sporty style with a list of additional elements besides the standard features.
The Ford Focus Sport edition comes with 1,500 GBP worth of equipment, while being priced with 700 GBP over the Zetec trim level so the list of goodies includes 16 inch ST style alloys, satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, voice control and rear parking sensors as well as the Titanium level seat fabric.
MTM Audi TT RS with 472 bhp
German tuner MTM has taken their power packed MTM Audi TT RS to the Nardo circuit in Italy, as they wanted to see how fast it can go.
It turns out the MTM Audi TT RS can reach 312 Km/h, and the upgrades that made it all possible include a revised ECU, a new turbocharger and a also a new exhaust system.
These modifications enable the MTM Audi TT RS to produce 472 bhp (347 kW) @ 7,000 rpm, which means 92 bhp upgrade from the stock version.
2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo at SEMA 2010
A single photos released during the weekend offers a preview of the custom 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo which will appear at the 2010 SEMA Show.
The 2011 Hyundai Sonata Turbo has been prepared by RIDES and 0-60 magazines, and apparently inspiration was drawn from Ferrari, Mercedes and Porsche models. The car will feature various performance parts and custom elements that will enable it to look more while also enabling a boost in power.
The Stig hired by Fifth Gear
According to the Guardian, Ben Collins now known as Top Gear’s ex-Stig, has been hired by the rivaling crew from Fifth Gear.
The new season of Fifth Gear will start on Channel 5 next Friday, and Ben Collins will debut on the show along with also ex-Top Gear presenters, tiff Needell and Vicky Henderson.
Ben Collins said that “I’m delighted to be joining the Fifth Gear team,” and this time it looks like he will not be wearing any helmet, except maybe during high speed test drives.
Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale video
The racing version of the GranTurismo, the Maserati GranTurismo MC Stradale is featured in this next video shot at the Valencia track.
Described by the company as the lightest and most powerful model ever built by Maserati, the GranTurismo MC Stradale extracts its juice from a 4.7-litre V8 that develops 450 horses (336 kW) and 510 Nm of torque.
VW Passat BlueMotion: 1531 miles on one tank
Volkswagen announced that it has entered the Guinness World Record Book after journalist Gavin Conway writing for Sunday Times, has driven the VW Passat BlueMotion a distance of 1531 miles on just one fuel tank.
The 1531 miles record set by the VW Passat BlueMotion means the same as driving from London to Malaga or from Los Angeles to New York without refuelling.
The VW Passat BlueMotion used in this challenge was a regular production version powered by a 1.6-litre TDI engine developing 105 PS which features Stop Start technology, programmed battery charging, a longer gear transmission, low resistance tyres and a lowered ride height.
