2011 Mercedes CLS in detail
The German automaker has announced that the 2011 Mercedes CLS will hit the European market in January 2011, plus it has released new photos and announced the engine lineup for their stylish new four door coupe.
We know that the second generation 2011 Mercedes CLS is 25 percent more efficient when it comes to fuel consumption, and that at launch , the engine choices to be offered will include two 6-cylinder engines : a 265 HP (195 kW)plant for the 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY plus a 305 HP (225 kW) unit on the CLS 350 BlueEFFICIENCY.
VATH Mercedes E 350 CDI
A new engine tuning kit from VATH Automobiltechnik, which this time applies to the Mercedes E 350 CDI.
By revising the engine with a new software which costs 1,179 Euro, the VATH Mercedes E 350 CDI can get its output level increased to 267 HP ans 595 Nm of torque. For an additional 1,118 Euro, the VATH Mercedes E 350 CDI can also receive and aluminium air intercooler which enables even more power – 285 HP and 650 Nm (5,753 lb-ft) of torque.
Uwe Gemballa Found Dead
German businessman Uwe Gemballa, known for his supercar customization company mainly oriented towards Porsche models, has recently been found dead in South Africa.
According to the Sunday Times, Uwe Gembala, who has disappeared earlier this year, shorty after arriving in South Africa for business has been “shot execution-style in the head”. His body which was found with his hands tied behind his back was dumped in Atteridgeville, west of Pretoria.
Video: Citroen DS3 WRC
Following yesterday’s unveil at the Paris Motor Show, the French automaker has also released the first video with the Citroen DS3 WRC.
We get to watch a few scenes with the Citroen DS3 WRC in action on surfaces like asphalt and gravel, and the teams that will get to compete with it starting from February (first stage in Sweden) are Sebastien Loeb and Daniel Elena plus Sebastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia.
Porsche plans F1 return
According to recent details that appeared in the British media recently, it looks like German automaker Porsche plans to return in F1.
Matthias Mueller, Porsche’s new chairman said that either Porsche or Audi is expected to compete in the LMP1 prototype sports car racing, and whichever brand will not go into LMP1 will head to Formula 1.
Matthias Mueller does not want Audi and Porsche to compete in the LMP1 against eachother but before taking a decision “we have to discuss whether it makes better sense for one of the brands to go into LMP1, and the other brand into Formula 1. So we will have a round-table to discuss the pros and cons,” he said.
Rolls Royce Bespoke models
As announced, the British luxury car manufacturer is presenting five Rolls Royce bespoke models at the Paris Motor Show.
The Rolls Royce bespoke collection was created by designers and craftspeople working in Goodwood, and the idea is to help owners make their cars as unique as possible.
The Rolls Royce bespoke models include the Rolls Royce Phantom EWB in Gunmetal metallic finish with natural leather grain, black seat piping, veneered cup holder lid, a silver full metal fascia and other exclusive touches.
2011 Volkswagen Phaeton price
The 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton price was announced, with customers already being able to place their orders at dealerships across UK.
The 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton price starts at 46,195 GBP, an amount that will get you a 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine under the bonnet, which is capable of delivering 240 PS.
For the more powerful version fitted with the 6.0-litre W12 plant that produces 450 PS, the 2011 Volkswagen Phaeton price starts at 78,685 GBP.
New Lotus Elite

We’ve already covered the news regarding the new Lotus Elite, but this time we have additional photos with its interior, as well as information regarding its price.
The new Lotus Elite represents a ‘new British expression of exclusivity’ and as you already know front-mid-engine, which is a 5.0-litre V8 unleashes 620 PS and 720 Nm of torque. The rev dial can go as high as 8,500 rpm and accelerating from 0 to 100 will only take 3.7 seconds. The new Lotus Elite has a top speed of 315 Km/h, and its CO2 emissions are of 215 g/Km.
Lotus Eterne

The intended car maker Lotus is definitely the main highlight at this year’s edition Paris Motor Show, and this next model that was just revealed is called the Lotus Eterne, a 4-door saloon that will compete in the 4-door coupe segment.
The Lotus Eterne is a front-mid-engined, rear-wheel-drive saloon, with AWD as optional, powered by an 5.0-litre V8 developing 620 PS and 720 Nm of torque (same as the Elite). Accelerating from 0 to 100 Km/h (0 to 62 mph) will require 4.0-seconds, 0.5 seconds more than in the Elite , and top speed will be clocked at 315 Km/h.
2015 Lotus Elise

The third premiere from Lotus at the Paris Motor Show is the 2015 Lotus Elise which features a sexy new design and matching performance characteristics.
The 2015 Lotus Elise uses a 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine mated with Start Stop technology, which just as the 2013 Esprit and the new Elan will have the hybrid technology available as an option.
The 2015 Lotus Elise packs 320 PS and 330 Nm of torque, can rocket from 0 to 100 Km.h in 4.3 seconds and can hit a maximum speed of 270 Km/h. CO2 emissions for the 2015 Lotus Elise are at 150 grams per Km, and the car’s total weight is 1.095 Kg.
