Peugeot 508 SW Outdoor
We already mentioned that the new Peugeot 508 SW goes beyond practicality, and based on these latest spy photos which appeared on gmotors.co.uk, it looks like the French automaker wants to introduce an allroad version, for those who want to explore their spirit of adventure.
This high-riding, all-wheel-drive prototype was caught in Sweden, as it performed tests in winter conditions, and according to the same source, the production model which will be called the Peugeot 508 SW Outdoor is going to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Toyota FT-86 II Concept teaser
The Japanese automaker has published a teaser photo with the Toyota FT-86 II Concept which will debut at this year’ Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Toyota FT-86 II Concept is a second iteration of the initial FT-86 which was co-developed with Subaru, with both companies expected to launch their own production models based on it.
2012 Honda Accord heading to Geneva
The Japanese company announced that it will debut the 2012 Honda Accord, both in sedan and tourer body styles at this year’s Geneva Motor Show.
The 2012 Honda Accord will benefit from a series of revised exterior features, as well as improvements in terms of handling and ride quality.
Lowered consumption and emissions have also been addresses as the 2012 Honda Accord will become available with a new 2.2 150 PS i-DTEC engine which promises CO2 levels of 138 grams per Km.
Citroen DS3 WRC
Citroen has published new photos with the 2011 DS3 WRC which was recently tested in Sweden and Spain by Sebastien Loeb and Sebastien Ogier.
With the new 2011 Citroen DS3 WRC the French aim at wining the 7th Manufacturer’s World Title, and in order to achieve this they have entered two teams which include Sebastien Loeb/Daniel Elena and Sebastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia.
2020 Formula 1 Car
F1 Racing magazine has teamed up Renault F1 chief designer Pat Symonds to offer motorsport fans a glimpse of what the 2020 Formula 1 car will look like and what kind of performance will it return.
According to them, the 2020 Formula 1 car will be designed in accordance with ground effects aerodynamics, with low-profile tyres fitted on bigger wheels, a non-downforce rear wing and a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) which will produce 250 BHP.
Pagani Huayra video
We’ve just seen Horacio Pagani’s Zonda replacement through a series of hi-res photos earlier, and now thanks to the journalists at EVO, we also have the first Pagani Huayra video.
We also found out that the Pagani Huayra should take no less than 3.2 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 mph, and that its top speed will actually be over 235 mph.
Smart Pulse
Smart PulseDaimler announced that starting from April 2011, their dynamic version of the Smart ForTwo, the Smart Pulse will available at dealerships.
The Smart Pulse comes with restyled front and rear aprons and side skirts as well as a sports package, all included as standard. 3-double spoke design 15-inch alloys have also been added, plus black painted exterior mirror caps and radiator grille.
Video: Tractorpulling leads to engine explosion
We’ve seen engines explode on tuned sports cars running on dynos before, but how about a DT466 diesel engine…yes the same kind used in tractorpulling competitions, exploding and flying through the air?
The engines used in tractorpulling run on alcohol or methanol fuel, and generate thousands of horsepower, so when things go wrong, like in this video, the results are simply scary.
Video: Audi A3 Covered in Ice
This ice covered Audi A3 that you see in this video is the result of sub zero temperatures and cars that passed on the street and splashed it with water from a broken pipe.
We imagine the owner was not to thrilled when he found his Audi A3 turned into an ice sculpture on Monday mourning, especially if he had to go to work. His solution for getting the car deiced was by using a hammer and an chisel. We think that clearing a door, getting inside the car and letting it run with the heater on would have made his job easier.
Pagani Huayra
After a series of teaser videos and leaked images, the new Pagani Huayra has finally been unveiled, with its hard to pronounce name inspired by the Andean god of winds – Aymara Huayra Tata.
The Pagani Huayra measures 4,605 m in length, 1,169 m in height and 2,036 m in width, has a wheelbase of 2,795 m and weights only 1,350 Kg. Power is provided by an Mercedes AMG sourced 6.0-litre V12 Bi-Turbo engine producing 700 horsepower and 1000 Nm of torque which spins the rear wheels via a seven-speed sequential cross transmission.
