Range Rover Evoque by Merdad
We thought the Range Rover Evoque was an SUV that already looked sporty and aggressive due to its sleek looking headlamps and taillights, prominent wheel arches, low roofline and three-door body style, but tuners such as Merdad will always consider there is room for more than what the factory line has achieved.
That is why they are introducing a new range of components designed to fit the Range Rover Evoque, all included in a aerodynamic kit which they call the Mer-Nazz.
Mac Audio Mini Clubman S
Mac Audio, a company that specializes in amplifiers and loudspeakers has decided to turn the volume up on the most powerful version Clubman, the MINI Clubman S.
That is why they fitted the car with special insulating material in order to eliminate vibration and rattling and mounted the Mac Audio Star X 2.16 front and rear loudspeakers system in the modified door panels. The car also comes with a handmade 90-liter bass enclosure equipped with 3 x Mac Audio STX Reference-Woofers and 6 Micro X Series amplifiers with a total capacity of 3,900 Watts. The whole system is controlled by the Audiovox VME 9325BTA Head unit which accepts connectivity via iPod, iPhone, USB, DVB-T and Bluetooth.
SEMA 2011: Chevrolet Sonic and Cruze Z Spec
Just like every other year, North American automakers will take the 2011 edition of SEMA by assault with a wide range of customisation proposals based on current their model range.
Chevrolet for example is announcing the fact that its 2011 small car SEMA lineup will include four Sonic Z Spec models called the #1, #2, the 4D Concept and Dusk plus two special Cruze models called the Cruze Z Spec and Cruze Dusk.
Nissan JUKE R Video: The Engine
Nissan in continuing its mini series that follows the development process of the Juke R, with this fourth video offering details and describing the challenges faced in fitting the massive GTR sourced V6 engine into the small Juke.
Nissan’s engineers were particularly concerned with the cooling performance, getting air into the vehicle and making sure that the engine retains all its performance and durability. Some of the measures that were taken to assure that include transferring as much technology from the GTR’s heat management system as possible, and also ‘transplanting’ the GTR’s cooling cassette into the Juke R.
2012 Ford Ranger Price
The new 2012 Ford Ranger goes on sale in the UK next month, so how much does this new pickup truck cost? well according to the Blue Oval it starts at 15,515 GBP and reaches 25,040 GBP for the range topping variant.
Available in thee cab bodystyles (Double, Super and Regular), the 2012 Ford Ranger which measures 5,359mm in length and 1,850 mm in width, brags with its capacity of moving more than 1,340 Kg and its best in class towing capability and watter-wading capability of 3,350 Kg and 800 mm respectively.
SEMA 2011: Lexus IS 350C by VIP Auto Salon
A third unique model created especially for the 2011 edition of SEMA is this time based on the IS 350C and comes from VIP Auto Salon.
Some of its unique features are easily visible in the photos, but some of them are not, so here is what the car is all about in case you won’t have the chance of attending the show in Las Vegas next month.
Five Axis Lexus CT 200h at SEMA 2011
A second customised model prepared by Five Axis for this year’s SEMA Show is the Lexus CT 200h.
Their recipe for creating a unique vehicle is pretty much the same as the one used on the 2013 GS F Sport, meaning the CT 200h received a set of double spoke design forged wheels using Yokohama Advan Sport rubber (235/40ZR19 front and rear), a widebody conversion with a number of aggressively styled body parts and a special paint finish (Dark Passage) highlighted by custom black accents.
The Five Axis Lexus CT 200h has also been enhanced with high performance brakes from Stop Tech and well as a coilover suspension system from TEIN.
2013 Lexus GS F SPORT by Five Axis
Lexus has just announced the fact that it will unveil the new generation GS with the F Sport package at the 2011 SEMA Show, and tuners have already thought of various styling tweaks that will make the Japanese sedan even sportier in terms of appearance.
One such company is Five Axis who will also unveil their interpretation of the GS F Sport at SEMA next month, and among the upgrades the tuner mentions 20 inch alloy wheels wrapped in Yokohama tires (size 245/35ZR20 at the front and 285/30ZR20 at the rear), a special body finish (Glacier White Paint with custom Slate Gray accents) and a widebody kit.
CCG customGT
Tom Gerards, the Head of CCG automotive GmbH and the persistent advocacy of German TUV officials has turned his dream of building his own TUV approved super sports car and bringing it onto the streets of Germany, into reality.
The car is called the customGT and is based on a powder-coated tubular space frame with a body made from either fiberglass or carbon fiber reinforced composites. Depending on the chosen materials the customGT can weight either 960 Kg or 1,040 Kg, which means is it considerable lighter than even the Ferrari 430 Scuderia which tips the scale at 1,250 Kg.
2013 Lexus GS F SPORT
Toyota’s luxury division announced that it will unveil the 2013 Lexus GS F SPORT at this year’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas.
This cooler looking version of the new GS comes with a number of bolder looking exterior elements such as a new front bumper with larger side grilles, a new mesh design for the upper and lower grilles, a metallic finish bumper diffuser and an additional chrome moulding on the bumper’s lower section.
