Seat announced that Austrian long-haul specialist Gerhard Plattner managed to set a world record regarding fuel economy after driving the Seat Ibiza ECOMOTIVE across Spain, France and Germany on a single tank of fuel. The total distance covered by the Seat Ibiza ECOMOTIVE was 1,562 Km with just 45.53 litres of fuel wasted, resulting in an average consumption figure of 2.9 l/100 Km, once again proving that the vehicle is one of the cleanest cars on the market today. It looks like the Ferrari crash season has “officially” started in Russia. After crashing one Lamborghini after the other during these last weeks, it seems that it is now Ferrari’s turn. We cannot provide the exact details referring to the incident, but the photos reveal something that used to be a Ferrari F430. Audi decided that the Nurburgring 24 Hours endurance race will be the perfect place to test and then further develop the Audi R8 LMS. Volkswagen just announced that it will enter the 24 Hour Race on the Nurburgring on the 23rd and 24th of May with two Scirocco GT24 CNG cars that will extract power from natural gas engines. The company says these inovative 2.0-liter turbo engines running on natural gas will develop close to 300 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque transmitting all the juice to the front wheels through a paddle shift operated 6-speed DSG gearbox.
