Cadillac Converj to be produced
The Cadillac Converj was introduced as a concept at Detroit’s Auto Show two months ago and according to one of Motor Trend’s sources, the vehicle based on Chevrolet Volt’s Voltec architecture was given the final OK for going into production in 2011. It remains to be seen if the Converj will ever come to life but as Motor Trend pointed out, there are a few thoughts that could be taken into account that could point to this as being a logical step forward. 2010 Audi Q7 Facelift
Audi has just released photos and details showcasing their facelifted Q7 SUV. At the exterior you can easily notice the redesigned front and rear lights including the LED’s as well as the updated front and rear bumpers that contain chromed finishes plus the new rims. 2010 Aston Martin Rapide details
The Aston Martin Rapide revealed as a Concept at Detroit in 2006 is one step closer to its official public debut programmed for late 2009. Built on Aston Martin’s extruded aluminium architecture the “most elegant four-door sports car in the world” will extract power from a 6.0-litre V12 engine that outputs 470 bhp and 600 Nm of torque coupled to a highly responsive Touchtronic gearbox. And the 2009 Design Car of the Year award goes to … the Fiat 500 ! Voted by 59 international journalists the Fiat 500 competed in terms of design with 51 other vehicles and received the award after being among the other two finalists, the Citroen C5 and the Jaguar XF. 2010 Mercedes S-Class video
Daimler’s first promo video featuring the 2010 Mercedes S-Class introduced at New York last week made its way on to the Internet, offering a preview of the company’s newly facelifted luxury sedan. The battle between these famous supersaloons was brought on to the Silverstone race track by the guys at Drivers Republic. BMW M3 GT4 race debut
The BMW M3 GT4 is ready to take on the track. And when we say that we refer to the 24-hour race on Nurburgring’s Nordschleife track, where the new BMW M3 GT4 will debut on 23rd/24th of May this year. Since 1970 when the 24-hour race started BMW has achieved great results and this time Schubert Motorsport hopes the wining formula will mean having Augusto Farfus (BR), Jorg Muller (DE) and Andy Priaulx (GB) as drivers. Volkswagen Golf VI awarded 2009 World Car of the Year
The German automaker announced during a conference at the New York Auto Show that their Volkswagen Golf VI was awarded with the 2009 World Car of the Year title. This title was voted by a jury composed by 59 international automotive journalists from 25 countries, and shows that the company’s best selling model is on the right track, having 26 million units sold world wide since the production of the first Golf.
