Nissan GT-R new lap record on Nurburgring
According to the Japanese automaker the Nissan GT-R a.k.a. Godzilla has scored a new lap record on the Nurburgring track. On April 23 the previous track time was beaten by 0.86 seconds by the Nissan GT-R witch managed to cover the Nurburgring track in 7 minutes and 26.70 seconds. Vauxhall Insignia Police car
The Vauxhall Insignia Police car was revealed today by GM’s UK Special Vehicles wing and by the looks of it crooks have a new reason to fear. Powered by either a 2.8-litre engine that packs 260 PS or a 2.0-litre unit with 220 PS the Vauxhall Insignia Police car will be available for order as a “turnkey” vehicle meaning that no conversion will be required. A 160 PS variant based on the 2.0 CDTi engine will also be available as for body style the Sports Tourer version is expected to be the most popular due to its larger storage capacity. The Italian sport-scar manufacturer announced that their Ferrari F430 is set to leave production towards the end of this year with the very last unit being auctioned at the RM Auction. Renault to quit F1 over new rules
Renault joined Ferrari, Toyota and Red Bull today and announced that it will pull out from the 2010 FIA Formula 1 World Championship in case the new set of rules referring to the 60 million USD budget cap will take effect. Renault also pointed out the fact that FIA’s leadership team ignored FOTA’s carefully worked proposals regarding the various major cost saving measures that were supposed to gradually be adopted between 2009 and 2012.
