Bugatti Veyron Super Sport review video
Autocar has recently got their hands on the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport so naturally they shot a review video telling us their opinion regarding this new king of supercars.
You might already be familiar with the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport specs, but in case you’re now here they are again. Power comes from a 8.0-litre 16-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 1200 HP and 1500 Nm of torque (200 HP more than the standard Veyron). With this insane amount of power under its carbon fiber skin, the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport can accelerate fron 0 to 100 Km/h (0 to 62 mph) in a blink on an eye, or if you want number, that is 2.5 seconds, and 15 seconds to get from 0 to 300 Km/h.
Limited Edition Spyker Timepieces
Dutch supercar brand, Spyker has launched a limited edition timepiece collection that celebrates the manufacturer’s participation at the 24 Hours of Le Mans race.
The limited edition Spyker timepieces are priced between 9,750 USD and 30,500 USD depending on the model and finish.
Production for the limited edition Spyker timepieces finished in solid 18K grey or rose gold will consist of onl 250 units, while the polished steel and matt black titanium models will be limited to 1000 units.
2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Sold Out
Porsche announced that the limited edition 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS is sold out.
If you didn’t get a chance to secure your order for one of the 500 exemplars 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS here is what you’ve missed : the German sports car extracts power from a 3.6-litre 6-cylinder engine that uses two turbochargers and delivers 620 horsepower and spins the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission.
When accelerating from 0 to 100 Km/h the 2011 Porsche 911 GT2 RS needs only 3.5 seconds, and it can reach a top speed of 330 Km/h. Fuel consumption figures are of 11.9 l/100 Km with CO2 emissions of 284 g/Km, which is pretty impressive when you consider what this car can do in terms of performance.
Lancia Delta 1.4 Turbo Multiair
The Italian automaker is organizing an ‘Open Doors’ event at Lancia Dealrships across Italy on October 23rd and 24th, for visitors that want to check out the new Lancia Delta 1.4 Turbo Multiair which now features Start Stop technology and is compliant with the Euro 5 emission standards.
The Lancia Delta 1.4 Turbo Multiair develops 140 HP and 230 Nm of torque @ 1,750 rpm, while in terms of efficiency the car needs only 5.7-litres of fuel per 100 Km and has CO2 emissions of 132 g/Km.
2011 Hyundai Equus price
The Korean manufacturer has put a price tag on the company’s flagship model, the 2011 Hyundai Equus which will arrive in dealerships across US in December 2010.
Powered by a 4.6-litre V8 plant developing 385 HP which sends power to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission, the 2011 Hyundai Equus price is as you might have imagined, much lower than for example competitors like the Mercedes S Class, BMW 7 Series or Lexus LS.
Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible sold out in 3 minutes
GM has announced that it has sold out all 100 exemplars of the Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible edition in a record time of 3 minutes.
The Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible was prepared exclusively for the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book, and the reservation process was done through the phone.
The Neiman Marcus Camaro Convertible combines the level of performance found on the Camaro SS with a special exterior colour highlighted by two ghosted rally stripes and amber-colored leather with numerous red accents at the interior.
Mazda SKYACTIV technology
The Japanese automaker has released information regarding the new Mazda SKYACTIV technology, which will debut on the Mazda Demio through the next generation direct injection engine capable of achieving 30 Km one 1-litre of fuel.
The Mazda SKYACTIV technology includes the new SKYACTIV-G highly-efficient direct injection engine with the world’s highest compression rate 14.0:1, the SKYACTIV-D which represents the new clean diesel engine with the world’s lowest compression ratio (14.0:1) plus the SKYACTIV-Drive which represents the automaker’s new automatic transmission.
Video: Ben Collins in Dragster Ride on FifthGear
As we mentioned before, Top Gear’s former Stig, Ben Collins has joined the team from FifthGear, and for his first appearance on the show he was put to the test by going on a dragster ride.
Just to give you an idea of what a dragster ride means, then picture a 24 foot long beast powered by an 800 HP engine that runs on pure alcohol and which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1 second.
Video: Mercedes C63 AMG vs BMW M3
The crew from Fifthgear, namely Tiff Needell and Jason Plato have put the the Mercedes C63 AMG against the BMW M3 one more time in a test that involved drifting, as well as completing a lap around the track against the clock.
The two models however are not the exact same versions that were used in the previous comparison test, as this time we’re talking about the Mercedes C63 AMG Performance Package, which boosts an additional 30 HP, and the BMW M3 Competition Package which features improved handling characteristics due to its lower and stiffer suspension and upgraded damper program.
Senner Mercedes ML 500 4Matic
Another upgrade program from Senner Tuning, and this time its all about the Mercedes ML 500 4Matic.
At the exterior the Senner Mercedes ML 500 4Matic received AMG style fender fla3res, 22 inch Corniche Monza alloy rims wrapped in high-performance Vredstein ‘Wintrac Xtreme’ tires (295/30 R22) together with wheels spacers on the front and rear axle, plus a stainless steel sport exhaust system with trapezoidal tailpipes.
Driving behavior has also been improved as the Senner Mercedes ML 500 4Matic received adjustable sway bar links and an electronically Controlled air suspension kit.
