Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept
GM has just revealed photos and details with the Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept which is a small luxury vehicle that will be showcased at the LA Auto Show this week.
The Cadillac Urban Luxury Concept which measures 151 inches (3,835 mm) in length, 68.1-inch (1,730 mm) in width and 56.9-inch (1,446 mm) in height is ‘comparable in size to popular city cars found in Paris, Shanghai and London’ and uses a hybrid propulsion system.
This system is composed from a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder engine with a start stop function, which also features electric assist technology with energy recuperation and dry dual clutch transmission.
2011 Toyota Corolla unveiled
The Japanese car maker has unveiled the 2011 Toyota Corolla through photos and details released one day before its public debut at the 2010 Los Angeles Motor Show.
In terms of exterior changes the 2011 Toyota Corolla features a redesigned front bumper and grille, larger exterior mirrors, a revamped rear bumper, trunk lid, rear license garnish and rear combination lamp.
The 2011 Toyota Corolla has also received newly designed alloys and on the S model, the automaker offers a body kit as standard, for a ‘sportier’ appearance.
Irmscher Opel Astra Sport Tourer
We’ve seen their styling packages for the five-door version, and now German tuner Irmscher is introducing a new customization program designed to bring uniqueness to the Opel Astra Sport Tourer model.
At the front the Irmscher Opel Astra Sport Tourer features a new spoiler and restyled lower and upper grilles with the tuner’s honeycomb pattern, new side skirts and also a new roof spoiler.
The Irmscher Opel Astra Sport Tourer is also available with 18- or 20-inch size wheels (Turbo Star and Turbo Star Exclusive) plus the package is completed by a set of lowered suspension springs that position the car with 30 mm closer to the ground.
Wimmer Mercedes C63 AMG Performance
Another power upgrade for the already sporty Mercedes C63 AMG from Wimmer, who this time are offering a Level 3 performance kit for the German saloon.
Apart from black, double spoke design alloys wrapped in Dunlop Sport Maxx GT tires and the RS Sport exhaust system, he Wimmer Mercedes C63 AMG Performance looks like the stock version. However, at a closer look under the bonnet, a series of upgrade that will enable the Wimmer Mercedes C63 AMG Performance to develop 580 Hp and 690 Nm of torque will be noticed.

Mitsubishi i-MiEV US spec
Official details and photos with the Mitsubishi i-MiEV US spec version has just been released, ahead of the car’s debut at the LA Auto Show on November 28th.
The Mitsubishi i-MiEV US spec model is a little bigger when compared to the Japanese and European versions, measuring 3.680 mm in length (+285 mm), 1,585 mm in length (+110 mm), 1,615 mm in height (+5 mm), which means a bit more space for its occupants.
2011 Nissan GTR review video
The latest 90 second review video from Autocar involves the facelift version 2011 Nissan GTR which is more powerful, more rigid and also pricier than the previous generation.
Priced at 69,950 GBP the 2011 Nissan GTR extracts its juice from a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 that produces 523 bhp @ 6,400 rpm and 451 lb-ft of torque @ 6,000 rpm and in terms of performance these figures translate into 3.5 seconds needed to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph and a top speed of 196 mph.
Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-motion wins future car challenge
The Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-motion has won the inaugural RAC Future Car Challenge, an eco automotive competition that involves driving from Madeira Drive, Brighton to Pall Mall in London while spending as less energy as possible.
After completing the 57 mile long drive, the Volkswagen Golf Blue-e-motion was declared winner in the ‘Most Economic and Environment Friendly Regular Passenger EV’ category, and the Royal Automobile Club Gold Medal was given to Jim Holder, editor at What Car? and his ‘co-pilot’ Folko Rohde.
Superchips VW Golf MKV 1.4 TSI
Superchips is offering an ECU remap upgrade for the previous generation VW Golf MKV 1.4 TSI which increases performance on the German hatch by 42 bhp and 56 Nm of torque.
The Superchips program for the VW Golf MKV 1.4 TSI which now packs 140 PS can also be applied to the 1.4 TSI Golf GT, GT Sport and Sport versions of the MK5 Golf, which use the 1390cc, direct injection, turbo and supercharged engine.
2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake info
Daimler has just announced that the Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake concept introduced earlier this year in China, will make it into production, with market launch scheduled for 2012.
The 2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake will get built at the automaker’s Sindelfingen plant, and at this point any details referring to motorisation options and performance are non-existent.
However it makes sense to assume that the 2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake will most probably use the same gasoline and diesel plants that are now available on the new CLS. An AMG performance version of the 2012 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake making use of Daimler’s new 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 is also something we would call a safe bet.
