According to the British press, Lamborghini’s replacement for the Murcielago supercar will be named the Aventador.

The Italian car maker has registered the Aventador name with the US trademark office, so it looks like their tradition of naming the cars after Spanish bulls continues.

The Lamborghini Aventador will probably get unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next year, with power provided by the new 6.5-litre V12 engine that links to a single-clutch automated manual transmission.

It looks like German tuner G-Power wants to turn all of their modified BMW’s into record breakers. After we’ve seen the G-POWER M5 HURRICANE RS – the world’s fastest saloon car, they are now introducing the G POWER M6 Hurricane RR BMW M6, which is the world’s fastest 4-seat Coupe.

By further perfecting their 750 hp / 551 kW SK III RS bi-supercharger system, which now features two ASA T1-316 radial superchargers, the German tuner was able to increase the output level on the G POWER M6 Hurricane RR BMW M6 to 800 HP (588 kW) between 7,500 and 8,000 rpm and 800 Nm @ 5,000 rpm.

The 2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG will premiere at the 2010 L.A. Auto Show this week, so Daimler has already released photos and technical details with their high-performance 4-door coupe which is expected to go on sale across U.S. in summer 2011.

Powered by the company’s new AMG V8 engine developing 518 HP and 516 lb-ft of torque (550 HP and 590 lb-ft of torque with the optional Performance Package), the 2012 Mercedes CLS63 AMG uses the 7-speed Speedshift MCT automatic transmission that is in part responsible for the car’s fuel consumption figures of 16 mpg city and 21 mpg highway, figures that represent a 33 percent improvement when compared to the previous generation model.

The Ford Focus Race Car Concept will be unveiled at the 2010 L.A. Auto Show this week, and the Blue Oval says they built it to compete in global road and touring car racing.

Powered by a 2.0-litre EcoBoost turbo engine the Ford Focus Race Car Concept has been built in compliance with rules governing circuit racing in the U.S. and beyond and the first race appearance will be in 2011 British Touring Car Championship.

The Korean automaker has unveiled rendering images with the new Hyundai Grandeur which is a premium large sedan that will be called the Azera on some markets outside Korea.

The Hyundai Grandeur adopts the company’s new ‘fluidic sculpture’ design philosophy, with an exterior reflecting the ‘Grand Glide’ concept, with a bold grille, elegant and flowing lines, LED lamps at the rear and a wide rear bumper.

As the 2011 Volkswagen Eos is about to premiere at the Los Angeles Auto Show, the German car maker has released additional details regarding its facelift version cabriolet coupe.

The European market will receive the 2011 Volkswagen Eos in January while sales across the U.S. will begin at the end of March. On the American market the 2011 Volkswagen Eos will be offered with a 2.0-litre TSI engine packing 200 PS (147 kW) and linked to a 6-speed DSG gearbox while the Europeans will be able to choose from thee TSI petrol units and one TDI diesel plant.

As the 2010 Los Angles Auto Show is about to open its doors, GM has officially unveiled the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible which is scheduled to go on sale in February.

Featuring a series on minor changes that were required by the open top body (relocated antenna and trunk lock cylinder), the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible is offered with a top made of durable canvas material with a glass rear window that can be lowered in close to 20 seconds by pushing a button.

The German manufacturer is debuting a new version of the Cayman at this year’s LA Auto Show, and we’re talking about the Porsche Cayman R.

When compared to the Cayman S, the Porsche Cayman R is 55 Kg lighter, while in terms of performance, the 3.4-litre flat six-cylinder engine has been tuned to produce an additional 10 HP. This means the Porsche Cayman R packs 330 HP and when equipped with the 6-speed manual transmission, its 0 to 62 mph (0 to 100 Km/h) acceleration time is of 5.0-seconds.

When featuring the 7-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission and the Sport Chrono Package, the Porsche Cayman R sprints from o to 62 mph even quicker, in 4.7 seconds.
