2012 Toyota Avensis Price for UK
Assembly for the 2012 Toyota Avensis has started at the automaker’s Burnaston factory (Toyota’s largest production site in Europe), so naturally that pricing for this new generation model was also announced.
Available in our different equipment grades (T2, T4, TR and T Spirit) in both sedan and tourer body styles, the 2012 Toyota Avensis can already be ordered by customers living in the UK but the first deliveries are scheduled for December.
2012 Porsche 911 997 GT3 RSR
Porsche has unveiled photos and details with next year’s season 911 (997) race car.
Based on the previous generation 911 the 2012 Porsche 911 997 GT3 RSR is now 48 mm wider than before and its juice comes from a 4.0-litre 6-cylinder boxer unit fitted with an air-restrictor that is capable of unleashing 460 HP (338 kW).
2012 Chevrolet Cobalt Unveiled
The new generation 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt, a sedan that is bound to be sold in 40 of the world’s countries that won’t be available in the US, has been unveiled in production form by GM.
Developed by the automaker’s Brazil division, the 2012 Chevrolet Cobalt measures 4,479 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width and 1,514 mm in height, features a 2,620 mm long wheelbase and a has bot that can accommodate 563 litres worth of luggage.
Senner Tuning Opel Astra
If you don’t want to wait untill the recently unveiled 2012 Astra OPC goes on sale then you might consider Senner Tuning’s most recent upgrade program for the Astra J.
In this case the German hatch will look sportier thanks to custom body elements such as a matte black front grille, a roof spoiler, a front spoiler lip, revised side sills and rear diffuser plus the built-in wheel-tire combination comprising from 19 inch Alutech rims wrapped in Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires size 235/35R19.
2012 Opel Astra OPC Revealed
Opel has unveiled the high performance version Astra, the Astra OPC. This new hot hatch comes with a 2.0-litre direct injection 4-cylinder turbocharged unit under its bonnet rated at 280 HP and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft) which spins the front wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
The 2012 Opel Astra OPC which on UK’s market will be called the Vauxhall Astra VXR is also equipped with a limited slip differential and in terms of performance the automaker only mentioned that its top speed is 250 Km/h (no 0 to 100 kmph / 0 to 62 mph acceleration times mentioned yet).
Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept heading to Tokyo
We are getting closer to this year’s Tokyo Motor Show, so Subaru is among the first to announce its vehicle lineup ahead of the official opening day.
The main highlight at their stand will be the Subaru Advanced Tourer Concept, a “Revolutionary Sports Tourer” which will focus on “Enjoyment and Peace of Mind” that wants to provide both superior driving performance and utility in the C class segment.
Ford Fiesta ST 5-door Concept
The 3-door version Fiesta ST Concept was shown less than two months ago at the Frankfurt Motor Show, and now Ford is presenting new photos and details with a 5-door version scheduled to premiere in less than two weeks in LA.
Through this concept the North American automaker previews a future, production version, high-performance Fiesta which just the the 3-door variant, extracts power from a specially tuned 180 HP/177 lb-ft of torque, 1.6-litre EcoBoost engine.
Toyota FT-86 TRD Leaked
It seems that Toyota has not put to much thought into keeping the FT-86 secret until the official unveiling time in Tokyo, or this is all part of a new strategy on how to get everyone’s attention before the complete batch of photos and details get released.
Either way there seems to be a high volume of interest regarding this model, so here are some more leaked images with the FT-86 this time in TRD trim.
GTA 5 Trailer Video
As announced, Rockstar has published the first GTA 5 trailer video today, so gamers all over the world can take a peak and start drooling at what is about to be launched sometime next year (unfortunately we don’t have an official release date yet).
The footage is almost one minute and a half long and shows scenes from what the life of someone who moved over to Los Angeles, California, to retire and be a good guy ‘for once’, looks like.
BBR Mazda 3
Mazda tuner BBR has developed a range or engine and suspension upgrade packages for the Mazda 3.
The performance packages are available in three tuning stages and address the 2.3 DSI turbo engine which is also found on the Mazda 6.
The entry level BBR Mazda 3 upgrade is priced at 549 GBP and consists of an ECU remap which enables the engine to deliver a ‘dyno proven’ 290 bhp at 5,200 rpm and 300 lb-ft of torque between 2,850 rpm to 5,100 rpm (34 bhp and 50 lb-ft more than the stock model).
