2012 Lexus GS 250
A new version of the new Lexus GS, the GS 250, has joined the Japanese automaker’s lineup. The car was unveiled at the Guangzhou motor show in China and it features a 2.5-litre V6 Dual VVT-i engine with an D-4S direct port injection that produces 206 bhp at 6,400 rpm and 253 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm.
Fitted with a 6-speed ECT-i automatic transmission with sequential manual shift function and selectable drive modes, the 2012 Lexus GS 250 can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 142 mph.
2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet
A few months after introducing the new generation coupe, the German sports car manufacturer is now unveiling the 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet.
Based on the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera S, the Cabriolet version features an innovative roof concept that uses magnesium in order to keep weight down, and which retains the typical 911 roof line when closed.
2012 Audi A1 Sportback S Line
Audi announced that its A1 family will become larger, as a new model which hopes to build on the success of the 3-door version, will enter the market in 2012.
We’re talking about the five-door version Audi A1 called the Sportback, which measures 3,95 mm in length and which is 6 mm both longer and wider than the three-door variant, in order to perfectly accommodate the new set of doors and two also add a little extra space for passengers at the back.
CoverEFX John Cooper Works MINI
CoverEFX, a German company specializing in vehicle foliation, has created two unmistakable MINIs which are both based on the JCW version.
The first is called the CoverEFX John Cooper Works MINI GP R53, and in this case the vinyl wrap is sunflower yellow and highlighted through various black painted parts such as wheel arches, exterior mirrors, the front grille and the hood’s middle section.
The CoverEFX John Cooper Works MINI GP R35 also features a modified PreKat along with revised engine software from mcchip-dkr plus a hand-made exhaust system with dynamic-pressure optimisation and stainless steel manifolds.
2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco Price
The 2013 Chevrolet Malibu Eco will arrive in dealerships in the first quarter of 2012 so before going on sale, there was only one question left that needed to be answered by GM: how much will it cost?
Well the most fuel-efficient Malibu ever will carry a price tag of 25,995 USD (including the 760 USD charge in taxes and fees), and as you may already know, the car comes fitted with the autmoaker’s eAssist propulsion system which will enable consumption figures of 26 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway.
Infiniti Electric Sports Car Concept
Infiniti has more auto show related news for us, but this time the automaker talks about the upcoming Geneva show where it plans to introduce their new electric sports car concept.
For now Inifiniti is teasing us with a pair of photos that partially show the front and the rear sections of this concept and mentioned the fact that ” the vehicle is being created to extend the potential for high performance, low emission electric cars.”
2013 Infiniti IPL G Convertible – Photos and Details
As we announced back in August, Infiniti has unveiled their latest Performance Line model, the 2013 IPL G Convertible in Los Angeles.
Apart from the G Coupe this is the second model receiving the automaker’s IPL badge which is reserved for premium performance vehicles, and in this case the car comes with a series of special aerodynamic pieces, a tuned 3.7-litre V6, a new suspension setup and a different exhaust.
2013 Infiniti JX Crossover Revealed in Los Angeles
Infiniti has unveiled their all-new 7-passenger luxury crossover in Los Angeles, and announced that customers will be able to get their hands on it starting from Spring 2012.
According to the automaker the 2013 Infiniti JX has been designed to excel in areas like interior flexibility, roominess and safety by offering ‘real 3-row utility’, numerous premium features, performance and innovation.
2012 Honda CR-V
The fourth generation Honda CR-V has been introduced in production form at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show.
This new generation which sports little differences when compared to the concept upon which it is based, go on sale in the United States on December 15th, while the rest of the world’s markets will receive it in 2012.
The new 2012 Honda CR-V measures 178.5 inches in length, 71.6 inches in width and 65.1 inches in height, rides on a wheelbase that is 103.1 inches long and insides its cabin there’s room for 5 adults, who will be able to sit more comfortably and who will also be able to load more luggage due to the increase in headroom and thanks to the bigger bot.
Volkswagen Beetle R Concept Debuts at 2011 LA Auto Show
The Volkswagen Beetle R has debuted at the 2011 LA Auto Show yesterday, and just like the version we’ve seen in Frankfurt a few months ago, this one is again the Concept.
Hopes of seeing a production version Beetle R should be put on hold for now, but we still do not exclude the possibility of seeing this thing in dealerships in the future.
In order to mark the Beetle R’s USA debut, the German car maker has also unveiled a new set of photos, through which we get to see the car’s sporty features one more time. These features “offers a glimpse of what a production version might look like”, and include a body painted in ‘Serious Grey’, 5 triple-spokes design 20 inch wheels, wider and more aggressive looking bumpers, ventilation slots on the right and left sides of the engine bonnet and a diffuser integrated into the lower bumper area.
