Infiniti has unveiled their all-new 7-passenger luxury crossover in Los Angeles, and announced that customers will be able to get their hands on it starting from Spring 2012.
According to the automaker the 2013 Infiniti JX has been designed to excel in areas like interior flexibility, roominess and safety by offering ‘real 3-row utility’, numerous premium features, performance and innovation.
Sure, these words have also been crafted for marketing purposes, so lets get down to numbers and the real features.
Behind its massive front grille the 2013 Infiniti JX houses a 3.5-litre V6 capable of developing 265 HP at 6,400 rpm and 248 lb-ft of
torque at 4,400 rpm. This engine uses a variable induction control
system and an efficient belt layout and as a  result, its claimed consumption figures are 23 mpg on the highway and 17 mpg in the city (19 mpg combined).
In terms of design the new JX embraced the ‘Emotive styling’ principles which were initiated by the Essence concept, and apart from offering class leading passenger space and cargo volume, Infiniti’s new crossover also provides more 2nd and 3rd row legroom than the Cadillac Escalade and enables access to the 3rd row without removing a 2nd row child seat.
Among the many features designed to make every journey as comfortable and as safe as possible, the 2013 Infiniti JX includes leather appointed seats which are also heated at the front and 8-way adjustable for the driver, as standard plus systems like Drive Zone/Speed Alert,  Around View Monitor with Moving Object Detection, Backup Collision Intervention (BCI), and a 15 speaker Bose Cabin Surround system with an Acoustic Waveguide subwoofer.
The new XJ rides on 18-inch split 5-spoke design aluminum-alloys wrapped in 235/65R18 T-rated all-season tires, and features like High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon
headlights, fog lights and LED taillights are also part of the standard equipment list.
