The Germans from Gumpert have recently published a small teaser image on their website and exposed their plans of unveiling a new model a the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

From the shape that we see in this image we are inclined to believe that we’re talking about a new generation Apollo, however Gumpert is still keeping quiet at this point so who knows, maybe the Germans will unwrap something totally different in the Swiss capital next year.

As we already announced, TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation) will premiere three concepts at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show at the end of November. One of the concepts is the Toyota Fun-Vii, which is now seen for the first time in this initial image released by the Japanese automaker today.

The Fun-Vii represents Toyota’s vision of a future (not-too-distant) in which “people, cars and society are linked” and the main feature regarding this vehicle is its body which can be used to display content both on the inside as well as on the outside.

Brabus may be among the first to give the new Mercedes ML a series of visual and performance upgrades, but another German tuner, Lorinser, is not close behind, as they have also announced their own individualisation program for the new generation M Class.

As of right now we only have a sketch with their upcoming kit and from what we can see, the main modifications include a newly designed bumper with larger air intakes and integrating LED daytime running lights, bulkier looking wheel arches, new side skirts and a set of custom wheels.

The wait is finally over ! Toyota has unveiled photos and details regarding the production version FT-86 during the weekend. Europe and Japan will get the car under a new name, the GT 86, and as you can notice, some of the more aggressive looking features seen on the concept have replaced with slightly modified structures in order to make the car more appealing to a broader range of consumers.

The GT 86 is the result of a collaboration between Toyota and Subaru, and as we already mentioned before, the car will have its global premiere at the Tokyo Motor Show this week.

A second premiere in Essen from Brabus, apart from the individualisation program for the 2012 ML, is the new custom package available for the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster.

The German tuner has not yet published an official press release for this model, but its name, the BRABUS Biturbo SLS 700, indicates that we’re most likely talking about a 700 HP output from the 6.3-litre V8 powering the roadster.

Brabus has rushed to create one of the first individualization programs for the new 2012 Mercedes ML. Their creation, which debuted at the Essen Motor Show in Germany this week is not about braking any records in terms of power, but about offering exclusivity and increased performance within the Euro VI standards.

The exterior which is both sporty and elegant has received a few aerodynamic enhancements plus the tuner has fitted the car with a set of Monoblock wheels measuring 22 inches in diameter and a stainless steel sport exhaust system for a more unique sound.

Subaru has just announced the fact that it will treat its home market / Japan with a special performance edition limited to 300 exemplars called the Impreza WRX STI S206.

The latest variation of the STI’s S series is based on the 4-door Impreza WRX STI and follows previous models such as the S204 and the R205.

The car is equipped with Bilstein shock absorbers, STI coil springs, a flexible tower bar and a flexible draw stiffener at the front plus 19 inch BBS aluminium wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.

The Japanese from Mazda have developed the ‘i-ELOOP’ – the world’s first capacitor based regenerative braking system for passenger vehicles which will start being used in production vehicles in 2012.

According to the automaker the i-ELOOP will be responsible for reducing fuel consumption by around 10 percent in real-world accelerating and braking conditions, and what makes it unique is the fact that it uses a capacitor instead of batteries in order to store larger volumes of electricity.

At this year’s Essen Motor Show in Germany, AC Schnitzer will showcase their latest range of accessories and performance upgrades aimed at taking the 2012 BMW 6 Series Coupe to the next level.

Just like on the convertible, AC Schnitzer has raised the output on the 6 Series Coupe at 540 HP (+133 HP more than the stock version), and as a result, the turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 from under the bonnet can accelerate the car from 0 to 62 mph in 4.3 seconds (0.6 seconds faster) and it also enables a new top speed of 202 mph.
