Nissan unveiled the Micra Nismo Concept at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, the third premium sports compact that follows the introduction of the Juke Nismo Concept and the LEAF Nismo Concept.

The car is based on the regular Micra, and features a number of exclusive parts, with the company’s intention being to showcase how a compact model can combine practicality with driving performance.

GM is marking the 60th Anniversary and the final year of production for the current C6 by launching the 2013 Corvette 427 Convertible Collector Edition – “the fastest, most capable convertible in Corvette’s history”.

The American manufacturer is also using the same occasion in order to introduce the 60th Anniversary Package for all 2013 Corvette models, as for the 427 Convertible, the car will be seen in all its glory at the Barrett Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Jan 21st.

Seat has applied a mild facelift to their Ibiza family which now comes with a slightly refreshed look, upgraded quality and new engine options.

The 2012 Seat Ibiza is available in 3-door, 5-door and estate body styles, and the main changes in terms of appearance are the trapezoidal grille with flatter proportions and horizontal heneycomb structure, the redesigned bumpers and the larger fog lamps with integrated cornering light which are standard on the FR and are optional on the rest of the range.

In a recent report that appeared online, John Krafcik, the CEO of Hyundai Motor America said that Hyundai’s reputation is changing from an inexpensive brand into a major player in the global automotive industry.

As arguments for his claim, he presented statistics that showed how customers were willing to pay 86 percent of a Hyundai sticker price in 2009 while in 2011 that figure increased to 96 percent. So if four years ago the company’s mentality was that they could not sell a car without a rebate, things are now different, as vehicle rebates were reduced to 18 percent of total incentive spending in 2011.

The long-wheelbase (LWB) version 2012 BMW 3 Series which will be badged as the 335Li and be available only on the Chinese market, has recently been spied without camouflage.

The 2012 BMW 335Li is based on the upcoming 3 Series GT and is expected to go on sale in China this summer. Production will take place in China, and its debut is most likely going to scheduled for the Beijing Auto Show.

After they initially presented a few teaser photos back in December, Vorsteiner has now revealed their latest aerodynamic package designed to fit and enhance the new Bentley Continental GT.

All the elements in the package are made from carbon fiber and were constructed using the pre-preg autoclave technology, and include a ‘tasteful’ 2-piece add-on front spoiler that increases down force on the front axle and directs cool air into the radiators, a new diffuser with dual aerodynamic fin extensions which fits perfectly into the factory rear bumper, a sporty add-on gurney deck lid spoiler and a pair of custom side sills.

The first promo video featuring the new 2013 Porsche Boxster has also been published today, with the footage underlining the fact that the open-top two-seater is now faster due to its more powerful engines and reduced weight.

The engines are a 2.7-litre flat-six producing 265 HP and a 3.4-litre flat-six delivering 314 horses in the Boxster S. Both engines feature direct fuel injection, engine start/stop, thermal management and electrical system recuperation, and as a result, their consumption figures, despite the power increase, are 15 percent lower.

This year’s edition Tokyo Auto Show will start on January 13th, and Honda will use this even to present a number of customized cars based on the new N BOX, the Freed compact minivan and the Beat models.

Autocar has managed to get their hands on a prototype version 2013 Bentley Continental GT V8 which they decided to test on a cold and wet Silverstone in order to find out if its new 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged engine will provide ‘proper Bentley performance’.

As you may already know this new V8 in the Continental GT which produces 500 bhp (373 kW) and 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque is paired to a close-ratio eight-speed gearbox and promises 0 to 60 mph acceleration in under 5.0seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.

Infact every major aspect about the new open-top two-seater has been improved, as Porsche claims that the new Boxster weights less, packs more power and requires less fuel (15 percents less than before).
