Volvo receives EuroNCAP world innovation award for its pedestrian airbag
Volvo Car Group’s pioneering work on pedestrian protection has been rewarded with the 2013 Global NCAP Innovation Award. Prof. Lotta Jakobsson from Volvo declared: “The purpose of the world’s first airbag for pedestrians is to help protect these vulnerable road users in certain situations when they impact the bonnet and the area around the windscreen, where there may be a risk of serious head injuries”.

Chevrolet Trax got five stars in EuroNCAP latest session
The new Chevrolet Trax featured in the latest EuroNCAP safety session. Chevrolet`s proposition for the small SUV segment is the same as the Opel Mokka and, where appropriate, test results have been carried over from that vehicle. Where Euro NCAP’s test methods have changed from 2012 to 2013, new tests have been done. The overall score was, as in the case of Mokka, of 5 stars.
