The Volkswagen Passat sees multiple changes for 2017. Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking are standard on all trims. The SE trim gains Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Blind Spot Monitor. The R-Line trim gets a Composition Media touchscreen radio with voice control, USB connectivity, a SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial, and VW Car-Net App-Connect technology, as well as, Blind Spot Monitor with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, V-Tex leatherette seating surfaces, a power driver’s seat and heated front seats. The available Lighting Package includes LED tailights and LED headlamps with LED DRLs. Also for 2017, The SE gains keyless access with push-button start and has the available Lighting Package, but with the addition of foglights. The SE with Technology trim, available with both the 1.8T engine and with the VR6, adds Park Distance Control, remote start, LED headlamps and taillights and 18-inch alloy wheels.
