Skoda Superb Combi production started
Skoda announced that the first Skoda Superb Combi has rolled of the assembly line at the company’s factory in Kvasiny in the Czech Republic. The Skoda Superb Combi comes equipped as standard with a 1.4 TSI engine developing 92 kW linked to a 6-speed manual transmission for witch price starts at CZK 589,900 (in the Czech Republic). Details with the Citroen C-Zero have been released today by the French manufacturer. The Citroen C-Zero is a 100 percent electric vehicle designed for offering mobility in urban areas, developed together with Mitsubishi Motors. A permanent magnet synchronous motor linked to a 330-volt lithium-ion battery is powering the Citroen C-Zero delivering 64 BHP (47 kW) from 3,000 to 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 180 Nm from 2,000 rpm. Volkswagen Race Touareg at Dakar Rally
Volkswagen will bring five Race Touaregs at the 31st Dakar Rally that will take place across the South American continent for the second consecutive year. Each of the five teams will be tested to the limits behind the wheel of the Volkswagen Race Touareg, as 9,000 Km will have to be covered through the Atacama desert in the north of Chile and back, at altitudes that exceed 4,700 m above sea-level. On the same terrain in 2009 Volkswagen won 10 out of the 13 possible stages with the diesel powered Race Touaregs, that developed 280 PS thanks to the 2.5-litre TDI units.
