2012 Nissan Quest minivan teased
A second announcement from Nissan today, who presents a teaser image with the company’s next generation minivan, the 2012 Nissan Quest.
Sales for the 2012 Nissan Quest will start at the beginning of next year and as you can see the car’s new fascia looks way different than the current ongoing version.
As with most vehicles in this segment, the 2012 Nissan Quest will plenty of interior space as well as safety, functionality and comfort.
2011 Nissan JUKE US spec
The Japanese automaker revealed details for the US version 2011 Nissan JUKE that will be showcased at the NYIAS starting from today.
The 2011 Nissan JUKE US spec version will extract power from the same four-cylinder turbocharged 1.6-litre DIG engine with 16 valves made from aluminium that will produce that 180+ horsepower and 170+ lb-ft of torque.
BRABUS Mercedes E-Class Cabrio
We’ve seen their customized coupe version and now the tuner decided it is time for the BRABUS Mercedes E-Class Cabrio variant.
The BRABUS Mercedes E-Class Cabrio based on the E 250 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY received the company’s ECO Power Extra D4 kit which increases stock output from 204 HP (150 kW) to 235 HP (173 kW) and 560 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque.
On the BRABUS Mercedes E 350 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Cabrio the ECO PowerXtra D6 (III) enables 272 HP (200 kW) and 590 Nm of torque.
Nissan Leaf Price
Initial details with the Nissan Leaf price for the automaker’s home market have just been released.
The Nissan Leaf price starts at 3.76 million yen which means around 27,000 GBP or 30,200 Euro and and additional reduction of 770,000 yen may also be applied due to eligibility for a government incentive credit.
This means that the Nissan Leaf price for the consumer will start at 2.99 million yen, the equivalent to 21,500 GBP or 23,800 Euro.
Mercedes CLS Estate
Various sources are announcing that yet another new model will rely on the F800 Style’s platform, and this time the German automaker will develop a competitor for the BMW 5 Series GT and the soon to be launched Audi A7.
We are talking about the Mercedes CLS Estate which is scheduled for a first public appearance in concept form at the Beijing Motor Show in April.
The Mercedes CLS Estate production variant will almost be identical to the concept and market launch is expected to begin in 2012.
Ford Mustang designer Donald Frey dead at 86
The initial Ford Mustang designer, for the iconic pony-car that was launched in 1964, Donald Frey has died from a heart attack on March 5th in Evanston, Illinois at the age of 86.
The first Ford Mustang was designed by Donald Frey and his team in just 18 months and first public appearance took place at the New York World’s Fair on April 17, 1964.
Video: Biker lowsides infront of Police
This next incident took place near Malibu on Mullholland highway where a biker was over-exuberant with his Kawasaki ZX6R. That was of course until he came out of a turn and saw the Police car parked on the side, quietly waiting for its next ‘victim’.
That is when the biker applied the brakes in mid-turn, causing him to lowside right in front of the Police.
All jokes aside we don’t think the biker could be charged with speeding, reckless driving, that’s another story.
2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Teaser
This 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI teaser image released by the Japanese automaker announces that ‘The wing is back!’.
That statement was made by Subaru in a very short press release that also mentioned official unveiling for the 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX STI taking place at the New York Auto Show this week.
As far as any other design features or technical details we can only speculate, so it would be better to just wait two more days until the 2010 NYIAS will give access to the press
Ford Focus RS500
‘Due to overwhelming interest shown’ the North American automaker decided to release photos and details with their even hotter hot-hatch Ford Focus RS500 that was initially supposed to be revealed on March 31st.
The Ford Focus RS500 is powered by a 2.5-litre 5-cylinder engine that produces 350 PS and 460 Nm of torque, which means 15 percent additional power when compared to the standard Focus RS.
Of course the power increase couldn’t be left unnoticed at the exterior, as the Ford Focus RS500 features an aggressive look thanks to the unique matt black ‘foil’ paint finish and the custom 19 inch ally wheels.
Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package
Official details with the Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package have just been revealed by the Japanese automaker.
The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package is oriented towards ‘hardcore track driving enthusiasts’ and this unique version that celebrates the supercar’s entry in the Nurburgring 24 Hours race will be produced in a limited run of 50 units.
The Lexus LFA Nurburgring Package increases power coming from the 4.8-litre V10 by 10 BHP, which means it now has 562 BHP, while gearshift times have been improved by 0.15 seconds.
