2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible new photos
The British luxury car maker has released a new set of photos and a new video with their 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible.
This model is one of the sportiest ever produced by Bentley as the W12 engine from under the bonnet delivers 621 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. This kind of output enables the 2011 Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible to rocket from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 202 mph.
2011 Aston Martin DB9
The British car maker is presenting its upgrade programme for the facelift version 2011 Aston Martin DB9.
The first Aston Martin DB9 model was introduced in 2003 and for the MY2011 the company’s sporting grand tourer gets minor exterior tweaks together with a more generous list of equipment features.
Gordon Murray T.25 City Car
New details with the Gordon Murray T.25 City Car have been released as the 3-seater electric vehicle will make its first public appearance today in Oxford.
The Gordon Murray T.25 City Car is 2.3 m long, 1.3 m wide and 1.4 m tall, weighting only 575 Kilograms, and powered by a 660cc 3-cylinder engine delivering 51 bhp and 42 lb-ft of torque that are put to the ground via a 5-speed transmission.
MINI Cooper, Clubman and Cabrio facelift
MINI has revamped its Cooper, Clubman and Cabrio models, offering a fresh aspect for 2011, together with a series of equipment upgrades and more fuel efficient power plants.
The MINI Cooper, Clubman and Cabrio facelift will now come available with the 1.6-litre diesel engine found on the BMW 116d, which means CO2 emissions will go under 100 grams per Km.
On the 2011 MINI Cooper which will be offered as the 90 HP One D or the 112 HP Cooper D fuel efficiency figures indicate that only 3.8 litres are needed per 100 kilometres (74.3 mpg imp)with CO2 emissions of 99 g/km.
Video: BMW Z4 sDrive35i vs Nissan 370Z Convertible
Fifth Gear has pitted the the BMW Z4 sDrive35i against the Nissan 370Z Convertible, as they wanted to see which of these roadsters is faster around the track.
We’ll let the footage do the talking but just for some quick reference the Nissan 370Z Convertible driven here by Jason Plato costs 33,200 GBP packing 324 HP and needing 5.5 seconds to sprint from nought to 62 mph while the BMW Z4 sDrive35i has a price tag of 38,000 GBP, delivers 306 HP and takes 5.1 seconds when accelerating from 0 to 62 mph (when fitted with the optional double clutch transmission).
2011 Ford Mondeo
These are the first official images with the facelift version 2011 Ford Mondeo that will debut at this year’s Moscow Motor Show in August. There are no major changes as the 2011 Ford Mondeo facelift features pretty much the same treatment that was applied on the S-MAX and Galaxy models, meaning a slightly redesigned front, LED daytime runinng lights and LED taillights and a new spoiler.
The facelift version 2011 Ford Mondeo will be offered as a 4- or 5-door hatchback or as an estate, and powering options will include the new EcoBoost units, meaning the 2.2-litre TDCi with 200 bhp and the 2.0-litre petrol delivering 240 bhp which comes with the PowerShift transmission and enables CO2 emissions of 179 grams per Km.
VW 1.4-litre TSI gets Engine of the Year Award
A second year for Volkswagen getting the Engine of the Year Award, this time with the VW 1.4-litre TSI engine that uses supercharging and turbocharging and is powering models like the Polo or the Passat CC.
The VW 1.4-litre TSI was also winner in the 1 to 1.4 category and Dr. Rudiger Szengel, Head of Volkswagen Petrol Engine Development said that “The combination of compressor and turbocharging provides an excellent basis for combining driving pleasure and low fuel consumption”.
2011 Ford Mustang V6 sets new record by averaging 48.5 mpg
The Blue Oval has set a new record as the 2011 Ford Mustang V6 which packs 305 HP has managed to complete 1,457 laps on a single fuel tank on the Bristol Motor Speedway track.
The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 has averaged 48.5 mpg in the 1000 Lap Challenge which was completed in 17 hours and 40 minutes, after traveling 533 miles, proving that the company’s V6 paired with their advanced 6-speed transmission can be sporty and economical in the same time.
Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge video
The Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge has not been officially unveiled yet, but back in May there were a number of leaked photos that sufficed the web, and now there is a video showing a prototype version being tested on track.
The YouTube description says the Ferrari 458 Italia Challenge video was shot at Monza, in Italy, and even though we can’t quite confirm that, it appears this version is equipped with racing wheels and some new aerodynamic modifications.
2011 Honda Accord
Details with the facelift models 2011 Honda Accord sedan and coupe have been revealed, and sales across America are expected to start in August.
Starting with the exterior the 2011 Honda Accord features a revamped grille, slightly modified front and rear bumpers, newly designed alloy wheels and new taillights while at the interior the automaker has re-arranged the buttons on the center console, and also added new seat materials.
