Video: Audi RS6 vs Mercedes E63 AMG
The latest episode from Fifth Gear presents a battle between two of Germany’s best sports saloons, the Audi RS6 vs the Mercedes E63 AMG.
The Audi RS6 has a 5.0-litre V10 engine producing 580 HP and 479 lb-ft of torque under its bonnet, which means it can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 4.5 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 174 mph. The Audi RS6 features the Quatrro AWD system which is put into motion by the Paddle-Shifted 6 Speed Tiptronic transmission.
Mercedes C Class Coupe
The Mercedes C Class Coupe has been recently spied during road tests, and this new model will feature the same restyling cues that will be visible on the facelift versions C-Class sedan and wagon.
The Mercedes C Class Coupe features a more balanced style, stepping away from than previous hatchback look into a direction that will make it compete with the BMW 3 Series Coupe and the Audi A5. Under the bonnet the Mercedes C Class Coupe is also expected to have sports car worthy petrol and diesel engines with output ranging from 156 to 231 HP.
Lexus LFA track video
As you might have noticed, the new Fifth Gear with its reduced crew of presenters is now more about relevant testing, and comparisons rather than entertainment and show, and in this next video Tiff Needell proves just that by taking the Lexus LFA to the track.
The Lexus LFA track video was shot at Rockingham where Mr. Tiff is once again showing hes professional driving skills by driving the limited edition supercar with traction control off.
Hyundai i20
Besides a few minor aerodynamic changes, the Korean automaker is enhancing the facelift version 2010 Hyundai i20 model sold on UK’s market with the the company’s fuel efficient 1.2-litre petrol engine which has CO2 emissions of 119 grams per Km.
On the 1.4-litre version Hyundai i20 improvements have also been made as CO2 emissions have dropped to 129 grams per Km and fuel consumption has been reduced with 4.3 mpg.
Dacia Duster E85 and dCi 90 DPF
The French manufacturer announced two new motorisation options available on their home market for the Dacia Duster SUV.
These new Dacia Duster engines include an Euro 5 compliant 1.6 16V 105 bio-ethanol (E85) unit and a dCi 90 DPF1 diesel engine that can equip both 4×2 and 4×4 versions.
RDX RACEDESIGN VW Scirocco
RDX RACEDESIGN has fitted the VW Scirocco with a complete aerodynamic package for a racier look. This new aero pack is manufactured from high-tensile PU-ABS and includes a new front spoiler and spoiler lip, side sills, a roof spoiler, new diffuser and double spoke design light alloy wheels.
Besides improved aerodynamics the RDX RACEDESIGN VW Scirocco also seems wider, and all these components that are TUV approved come with a 2-year warranty and a 14-day return policy.
BMW X6 Performance Unlimited edition
The BMW X6 Performance Unlimited edition is a limited run model that was designed exclusively for the Japanese market.
Some of the elements that can’t be found on a regular version BMW X6 include a new front spoiler, that seems inspired from the M3, new side skirts, a rear diffuser and a darker front grille. The BMW X6 Performance Unlimited edition sits on newly designed 21 inch alloys and the car’s body finish is Pearl Silver. At the interior the BMW X6 Performance Unlimited edition features Cheateu Nevada leather , aluminium pedals and a numbered plaque.
Ferrari 599 GTO images
The Prancing Horse is offering new images with their fastest ever road-going sports car. In case you missed our previous articles and the numerous review videos and test drives that have been made with the wild beast, then we remind you that the Ferrari 599 GTO is delivering 670 horsepower thanks to its 6.0-litre V12 engine that spins the rear wheels via a six-speed gearbox derived from F1 which shifts in less than 60 ms.
Weighting just 1496 Kg the Ferrari 599 GTO needs 3.35 seconds to rocket from 0 to 100 Km/h and car reach speeds of over 335 Km/h.
BMW M3 turns 25
With the first model introduced in 1985, the BMW M3 turns 25 this year, so the German automaker has released some statistics for their iconic piece of automotive history.
The first BMW M3 packed 200 HP and exceeded speeds of 230 Km/h as it needed 6.7 seconds to hit 100 Km/h from a stand still. The car became the most successful touring car in motor sport history with the most recent achievement being the top podium position at this year’s Nurburgring 24 hours endurance race.
Mopar 10 Dodge Challenger video
Two days ago we’ve told you about the limited edition Mopar 10 Dodge Challenger and now Chrysler has published a video which gives more details on all the custom features that will be offered on this special model for which production will be limited to 500 units.
The Mopar 10 Dodge Challenger will be powered by the same 5.7-litre HEMI V8 and at the exterior the automaker has chosen a black body finish with blue, red or silver side decals, glossy black 20 inch rims and matching stitching and logos at the interior.
