Volkswagen Touareg R info
We all know that VW also offers performance versions of their Scirocco and Golf models under the R badge, but how about a performance version Volkswagen Touareg R ? According to recent rumors that appeared in the French media, the German automaker is planning a sporty hybrid SUV which would incorporate the latest technologies developed by the VW Group.
The Volkswagen Touareg R is expected to extract power from a turbocharged V8 engine rated at 500 HP which would also use an electric motor, as the one found on the current Touareg V6 Hybrid model.

Jenson Button, the Formula One World Champion of 2009 has purchased a Mercedes C Class DR 520 Estate on August 24th from London’s Mercedes-Benz World.
The unique Mercedes C Class DR 520 Estate which is based on the C63 AMG is produced in a limited run of only 20 units by the Specialist Products Division at Mercedes-Benz World who added many performance upgrades on it.
Dragster crash video
This crash video was taken on-board a dragster that uses a 2.2-litre 4-cylinder GM EcoTech engine developing 1,600 horses.
Fortunately for the driver (who also forgot to put his visor down before pushing the gas pedal), the dragster crash was not as spectacular as you might imagine when you read those ‘scary’ performance figures above, but it is still interesting to see just how important the roll cage is in this type of events.

HEICO SPORTIV, the traditional Volvo tuner has published complete details and plenty of images with their enhanced Volvo S60 which was announced through a couple of sketched photos around a month ago.
The Volvo S60 by HEICO SPORTIV comes with a two-part spoiler at the front that is mounted on the original bumper, a rear diffuser that accommodates the quad exhaust system (a dual exhaust also available) plus a set of new alloys.

This next video is part 1 from Ken Block’s new Gymkhana 3 infomercial and it looks like things are shifting more towards marketing and selling DC Shoes than awesome car tricks and stunts.
The Gymkhana 3 part 1 video is also a music video featuring hip-hop duo ‘The Cool Kids’ and even thought some of the slow motion scenes involving Block’s Fiesta rally car look good we do not think it will have the same impact as the first two Gymkhana videos.
