Nissan Townpod video
Here is the first video with the Nissan Townpod presented at the beginning of the month at the Paris Motor Show.
Developed as a solution for both social and business lives, the Nissan Townpod uses the same mechanics as the Nissan LEAF, which means it is 100 percent electric, although no specific performance figures have been released. As you can see in Nissan Townpod video this new concept features a futuristic interior and exterior design, with LED headlights, split doors, and touch screen displays at the interior, offering a combination between the benefits of a passenger car with the practicality of a small commercial vehicle.
2012 Mercedes SLK Teased
Daimler has started the teasing tango with the 2012 Mercedes SLK by releasing a photos that reveals the car’s electrochromic panoramic glass roof called the Magic Sky Control.
However the 2012 Mercedes SLK will not be offered with the Magic Sky Control as standard, and if you recall, something pretty similar to this transparent glass roof which can de darkened on demand in a matter of seconds was first seen on the Maybach.
2011 Volkswagen Touareg review video
One of the first 2011 Volkswagen Touareg review videos comes from Fifth Gear, with Vicki pointing out the pros and cons in the new German SUV.
Offered with a range of V6 and V8 engines the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is also expected to gain a hybrid powertrain next year, and pricing ranges from 38,000 GBP to 55,000 GBP in the UK.
The 2011 Volkswagen Touareg review video features the entry level version which is powered by a 3.0-litre V6 TDI developing 237 bhp and 406 lb-ft of torque and which is capable of accelerating from 0 to 62 mph in 7.8 seconds.
2012 Buick Verano teaser
GM has released a single teaser image with their upcoming 2012 Buick Verano. The North American manufacturer has also stated that the 2012 Buick Verano will get built at the company’s Orio Assemble Center in Michigan, and that the new compact sedan will hit the market towards the end of 2011.
The 2012 Buick Verano is basically the US version of the 2011 Buick Excelle GT model sold in China, and at this point there are not details available on what kind on engines will be fitted under the hood.
Audi Quattro into production
The British press is reporting that the German automaker is planning to turn the Audi Quattro Concept revealed in Paris into a production vehicle.
The production Audi Quattro still has to receive the final ok, but an engineering plan is already being developed. We will most probably see the Audi Quattro get assembled into a limited production series at the company’s newly acquired ItalDesgin plant in Italy.
Pagani Zonda 750
Another single copy Zonda coming from Italian supercar maker Pagani, who this time uses the Zonda Cinque as the base model.
This one-off version is called the Pagani Zonda 750 and even though performance figures are unknown, we suspect the 750 name to indicate the amount of horses developed by the V12 AMG engine from under its skin.
If that will be the case, it will mean that the Pagani Zonda 750 will develop over 100 HP more than the Zonda F which is quite impressive.
Citroen Lacoste video
The French company is presenting the first promo video for its Citroen Lacoste, a concept which can still be seen at the Paris Motor Show until October 17th.
Representing the collaboration between Citroen and Lacoste, this new concept measures 3.4 m in length, 1.8 m in width and 1.5 m in height, and extracts power from a 3-cylinder petrol engine. The exact output figures were not specified but Citroen says the engine has plenty of power for a vehicle this size and weight.
TECHART MAGNUM 2011 Porsche Cayenne
The well known tuners from Techart have applied their MAGNUM individualization program on the new generation 2011 Porsche Cayenne.
At this point there is only one photo available with the TECHART MAGNUM 2011 Porsche Cayenne, but that should change after the customized German SUV will make its first appearance at the Auto Zurich Car Show in Switzerland on November 11.
As you can see the TECHART MAGNUM 2011 Porsche Cayenne features aggressive/dynamic appearance thanks to the redesigned front apron with large air intakes and air ducts plus it features a caron fiber bonnet with integrated outlet for better engine cooling, new side sills and wider front and rear fenders.
Custom Ford Fiestas for SEMA 2010
The Blue Oval is going to present a number of customisation proposals for the new Ford Fiesta at this year’s SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show, which will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center between November 2 and 5.
As you can imagine the goal is to present that Ford Custom Accessories offers a wide range of options for both the interior and exterior while Ford Racing Performance will showcase a tuned fiesta pumping 350 HP from a 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine that has been enlarged to 2.3-litres.
Cobra 2011 Volkswagen Touareg
German customisation company, Cobra Technology & Lifestyle has turned its attention towards the 2011 Volkswagen Touareg and fitted it with their ‘traditional’ high-gloss stainless steel components and custom design alloys.
The Cobra 2011 Volkswagen Touareg is protected at the front by a 60 mm stainless steel tube placed under the bumper, plus on the sides, the German SUV has also received a pair of 80 mm stainless steel tube guards, that also play o protective role and enable easy access when stepping in and out of the car.
