2012 Mercedes C Class price
The 2012 Mercedes C Class price for the European market was just announced, with the facelift version scheduled to arrive in dealerships in March 2011.
The 2012 Mercedes C Class price starts at 32,695 Euro for the C 180 BlueEFFICIENCY which packs 156 HP (115 kW) while the Estate version will go on sale priced at 34,361 Euro.
The complete engine lineup available for the 2012 Mercedes C Class includes four petrol plants which pack 156 HP, 184 HP, 204 HP and 306 HP respectively, and five diesels rated between 120 and 231 HP, all of which have been optimized for a 31 percent reduction in fuel consumption.
Porsche 918 Racing Coupe teaser video
The Stuttgart based automaker has published this Porsche 918 Racing Coupe teaser video on their official YouTube channel, offering a glimpse of the new model which will debut at the Detroit Motor Show at 6:30 AM EST.
Even though the Porsche 918 Racing Coupe teaser video only shows the car’s double spoke design black alloys, and the dual side exhaust pipes, we know (according to rumors) that this new racer is expected to feature a V8 powerplant rated at 600 HP under its skin.
2013 Ford C-Max Energi and C-Max Hybrid
Apart from the new Ford Focus Electric, another highlight at this year’s Detroit Motor Show coming from the Blue Oval involves the 2013 Ford C-Max which extends beyond the petrol powered models with its new C-Max Energi and C-Max Hybrid variants.
The 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid uses the company’s gasoline/electric powertrain technology, with fuel efficiency figures expected to reach 41 mpg, and when operating in fuel-saving mode (electricity only) the vehicle is able to travel at speeds of up to 47 mph.
2012 Volkswagen Passat US spec

VW has released a set of initial details with their new mid-size sedan (NMS), the US Spec 2012 Volkswagen Passat which will debut today at the Detroit Motor Show.
As opposed to the European model which carries the same badge, the 2012 Volkswagen Passat US spec measures 191.7 inches in length with a 110.4 inch wheelbase, which makes the largest Passat ever built so far.
2012 Chevrolet Sonic sedan and hatchback
GM has officially unveiled the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic offering details and photos of both the sedan and hatchback versions, which will be on display at the automaker’s stand at the 2011 Detroit Motor Show starting from today.
Featuring an aggressive design both at the exterior and interior, the 2012 Chevrolet Sonic sedan and hatchback will come fitted as standard with a 1.8-litre 4-cylinder engine paired to five-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmissions.
Ford Focus Electric video
After unveiling the 2012 Ford Focus Electric at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas two days ago, the Blue Oval has also published a video which offers a short presentation of their zero-emissions hatch.
We get to see static and dynamic scenes with the 2012 Ford Focus Electric, as well as a footage with the interior.
The 2012 Ford Focus Electric uses a 100 kW motor and a lithium-ion battery pack which are able to generate a total of 123 horsepower and 181 lb-ft of torque, and even thought it was not officially specified yet, the car’s range between recharges is expected to be 100 miles.
Ford Focus Electric unveiled
The Ford Focus Electric has been unveiled today at this year’s edition Consumer Electronics Show (CES), and according to the Blue Oval, their new zero emission hatchback will become available to customers in North America towards the end of 2011. In Europe the Ford Focus Electric is expected to be seen sometime before 2013.
With it full electric powertrain the Ford Focus EV claims that it will offer a mile-per-gallon equivalent better than the recently launched Chevrolet Volt, with recharging taking between three to four hours by using a 240V wall-mounted charge station, which means half the time required by the Nissan LEAF to recharge.
Kia KV7 Concept second teaser
A second teaser images with the Kia KV7 concept has just been released by the Korean automaker, this time revealing the crossover’s left side headlamp, composed from ‘innovative lighting elements’ which are being evaluated for future use into production models.
The Kia KV7 Concept will debut at the Detroit Motor Show on Monday, and another unique feature that was showcased in the first teaser were the gullwing doors for the rear passengers.
Peugeot 3008 SR and 3008 ENVY Special Edition
Peugeot is enhancing its 3008 crossover range which previously included the Active, Sport and Exclusive models, by adding two new versions called the 3008 SR and the 3008 ENVY Special Edition.
The Peugeot 3008 SR is based on the Sport model and comes with extra added equipment like RNEG Colour Satellite Navigation, Bluetooth, Grip Control and 16 inch alloys wrapped in mud and snow tyres. Under the bonnet the the Peugeot 3008 SR features the automaker’s Euro 5 HDi 112 diesel engine which uses a 6-speed manual transmission (6-speed EGC also available) and which claims to emit between 129 and 135 grams of CO2 per Km.
Lexus RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle
Lexus is launching a special edition version of their RX full hybrid SUV called the RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle which comes with a series of exterior and interior features that will prove handy during the cold season.
These elements include front and rear under runs, a rear bumper protector, roof rails, a cool/hot storage box and a rear boot liner. The value of this new features added to the Lexus RX 450h SE-I Lifestyle is 1,500 GBP, but the price difference between this edition and the standard model is only 499 GBP.
