One of the last conversions that we’re most likely ever get to see based on the previous generation BMW 6 Series Cabrio comes from Lumma Design.

The Winterlingen based tuner has only concentrated in enhancing the German model in terms of appearance, so starting with the exterior the 6 Series Cabrio E64 received a redesigned front spoiler, a new rear apron bumper and a number of carbon fiber elements that include the grille, the rear wing, the exterior mirror casings.

The latest tuning proposal targeting the estate version Seat Ibiza ST comes from Je Design who developed a custom bodykit that will make the Spanish model look more aggressive.

This kit’s components include a new front spoiler, a sports radiator grille, headlamp covers, new side skirts and body matching rear apron extensions. All these components are made from high-quality ABS and carry a price tag of 1149 Euros.

Je Design has also lowered the car’s center of gravity, so the Seat Ibiza ST Estate is now sitting with 35 millimeters closer to the ground thanks to a set of new springs (priced at 149 Euros) which are intended for use in combination with the original shock absorbers.

They’ve done a 710 HP version of the R8 V10, why not add more power to the V8 variant of the R8 as well?

The tuners from STaSIS are introducing the Audi R8 V8 Challenge Extreme Edition, a car which generates 120 bhp more than the standard model (a total of 540 bhp and 435 lf-ft of torque) and weights less than the factory V10.

The upgrade in performance was made possible by adding an Eaton / Magnusson TVS 1900 supercharger, an independent charge cooler system and a revised ECU. Audi R8 V8 Challenge Extreme Edition has also received a cross flow, stainless steel exhaust system which reduces back pressure and increases power, as well as bigger brakes (390mm front / 355mm rear from Alcon) featuring two piece floating discs.

Volkswagen has once again launched a Cabriolet version of their Golf, nearly 10 years since the previous generation. What is this 2011 all about? well the next review video which comes courtesy of AutoExpress will hopefully answer some of your questions.

The 2011 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet version tested in this review is the 1.4-litre TSI which according to the British journalist is really ‘punchy’ and ‘refined’, with the cabin remaining really quiet even when travelling at motorway speeds with the roof down. There is also very little wind buffeting as well, even when the car is not equipped with the optional wind deflector, plus its suspension has been setup in order to maximise comfort.

Volkswagen is celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Golf GTI by launching a limited series model called Edition 35.

The car will be available for order starting from May 12, 2011 in Germany, and according to VW it combines classical elements with special exterior and interior features. These include a newly designed front bumper, the ’35’ logo displayed on the door sills, next to the fender, unique alloys and various other unique touches. The interior received new seats with honey comb pattern stitching and the ’35’ logo while in terms of performance the 2011 VW Golf GTI Edition 35 is able to produce 235 HP instead of 210 HP.

Then Superchips has got you covered, as they are now offering an ECU remap that will enable the 2.0-litre direct injection Ecoboost engine from under the bonnet to produce 40 bhp and 67 Nm of torque over the 203 PS produced as standard.

The 40 additional bhp are gained between 1,500 and 5,648 rpm, while the 67 extra Nm of torque kick in at just 2,065 rpm.

EVO Magazine reviewer Chris Harris has taken the latest generation G Wagon, the Mercedes G350 BlueTEC or a ride on both rough terrain and public roads, telling us what he thinks about this technologically updated version.

Thanks to its V6 powerplant which features the AdBlue technology the Mercedes G350 BlueTEC produces 210 HP (155 kW) and 540 Nm of torque, and it does it in a way that is more friendly to the environment when compared to previous versions, as this new generation is Euro 5 compliant, meaning its CO2 emissions have been lowered.
