Volkswagen has once again launched a Cabriolet version of their Golf, nearly 10 years since the previous generation. What is this 2011 all about? well the next review video which comes courtesy of AutoExpress will hopefully answer some of your questions.
The 2011 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet version tested in this review is the 1.4-litre TSI which according to the British journalist is really ‘punchy’ and ‘refined’, with the cabin remaining really quiet even when travelling at motorway speeds with the roof down. There is also very little wind buffeting as well, even when the car is not equipped with the optional wind deflector, plus its suspension has been setup in order to maximise comfort.
The 1.4-litre TSI develops 160 PS and besides enabling 0 to 62 mph acceleration times of 8.4 seconds, it is also responsible for returning 45 mpg with CO2 emissions of 140 grammes per Km.
The conclusion? The 2011 Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet, which in the UK costs around 21,00 GBP is overall a very relaxing car, and could be the perfect choice for those looking to have fun this summer.
