2012 Smart ForTwo Electric Drive and ebike
Smart is presenting its third generation 2012 Fortwo Electric Drive and its new ebike before their official premiere at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
The 2012 Smart Fortwo Electric Drive is powered by a 55 kW / 74 HP electric motor and a 17.6 kWh unit which replaces the old battery pack from the previous generation, and as a result performance has improved in all areas. To be more exact, the 2012 Fortwo ED is able to go from nought to 60 mph in less than 13 seconds, can hit a top speed of 74.6 mph and has a driving range of 86 miles (up from 83 miles).
Ken Block: Gymkhana 4 Video
Ken Block’s Gymkhana 4 is up online, with this latest installment being called ‘The Hollywood Megamercial’.
The footage was shot over the course of 5 days in California, at the Universal Studio with the whole thing directed by Ben Conrad and his team, the same people who were involved in the creation of Zombieland and 30 Seconds or Less.
Jaguar C-X16 Production Concept
Jaguar is presenting us the first sketched image of the C-X16, a ‘production concept’ bound to premiere at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) on September 13th.
Designed by the same people behind the XJ, XF and XK who were supervised by the company’s Director of Design, Ian Callum, the Jaguar C-X16 Concept will point to the British brand’s new direction in terms of styling, performance and technology.

Video: Ford Mustang Boss 302 vs Chevrolet Camaro
Autocar has raced the 6.2-litre V8 powered Chevrolet Camaro SS against the new 5.0-litre Ford Mustang Boss 302 in a straight line on a runway and here are the results.
The Mustang Boss 302 took 5 seconds flat to get to 60 mph from a stand still, and 33.11 seconds to reach the 1 mile distance at a speed of 150.15 mph. Pricing in the UK starts at 41,000 GBP and for that amount you’ll get 444 bhp and 280 lb-ft of torque under the bonnet.
Eterniti Hemera Announced
This year’s Frankfurt Motor Show will be the host for the birth of a new car company called Eterniti Motors. In their first press release published today, they announce that Eterniti is a new luxury car brand and the fact that they are based in London.
We also received a sketch image of that appears to be an SUV of generous promotions, much like a competitor for the Porsche Cayenne or even the BMW X6, but with everything remaining a mystery at this point.
Hyundai i20 Blue
The Korean automaker continues to add models offering sub 100 grammes of CO2/Km emissions to its range. The i10 Blue was added at the beginning of the year and right now they are introducing the new generation Hyundai i20 Blue.
The car is based on the current i20 Comfort and is fitted with a 1.4-litre 4-cylinder CRDi engine under its bonnet, responsible for producing 90 PS and returning a remarkable 76.4 mpg (UK rating / combined cycle).

Here a nice photo with the 2012 BMW 3 Series which has been scooped without any camouflage during a photoshoot.
This particular image was taken from above, and some of the styling details that can be noticed are the raised hood and the sleeker, and sharper looking headlights. We can also see that the 2012 BMW 3 Series will bring turn signals integrated in the side mirrors, and overall the connection between it and the 5 Series is maintained.
2012 Land Rover Defender gets new 2.2 litre turbo diesel
UK sales of the 2012 Defender begin in November with prices starting from £20,995 on the road.
The British marque started publishing photos and details with the 2012 Land Rover Defender, as the updated version will most likely be showcased at the automaker’s stand in Frankfurt in a few weeks.
Besides two new option packages, the 2012 Land Rover Defender comes with a new 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine which is compliant with the Euro 5 emission standards and replaces the previous 2.4-litre unit.
2012 Lotus Evora GTE Road Car
Lotus will premiere the 2012 Evora GTE Road Car Concept at this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance.
This race inspired Evora GTE will provide over 420 bhp via a sequential AMT racing gearbox, and apart from a more aggressively styled exterior the car will also come with ultra-lightweight forged alloy wheels featuring central lock hubs and Pirelli P-Zero Corsa tires.
