2013 Mercedes SL Officially Revealed
We’ve already seen the official photos yesterday, so it was only natural for the German automaker to drop the official details regarding the 2013 Mercedes SL on us today.
Internally known as the R321, the new SL will premiere at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in January, but on the company’s home market this new model will already be available for ordering from December 15th.
Built almost entirely from aluminium the 2013 Mercedes SL is almost 140 Kg lighter than its predecessor, it is also more rigid and the automaker brags about the fact that its sporty handling characteristics have been taken to a whole new level.
2013 Cadillac ATS Engine Lineup Announced
GM is pretty serious is making the 2013 Cadillac ATS one of the most competitive models in its segment, and to prove that they mean business, they have just announced that once this compact luxury sedan will premiere in Detroit, a new 2.0-litre 4-cylinder turbo rated at 270 HP (201 kW) and 260 lb-ft. of torque (353 Nm) will also debut in it.
Buick Encore Teaser
GM is announcing the expansion of its Buick family through the addition of a new crossover that will debut at the 2012 North American International Auto Show.
We’re talking about the 2013 Encore which has been teased last night, a vehicle which will offer “contemporary styling, signature QuietTuning technology, and a host of features and amenities customers expect from Buicks today”.
Audi Q7 3.0 TDI S Line Plus with 204 PS
Audi had decided to add a new engine option to their Q7 3.0 TDI quattro range. This new 3.0-litre V6 TDI which produces 204 PS complements the existing 3.0 TDI quattro 245 PS versions, and can be ordered in conjunction with the Standard, SE, S Line and S Line Plus trim levels.
Apart from developing 204 PS between 3,200 to 4,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque between 1,250 and 2,750 rpm, this new engine will also enable Audi’s 7-seat luxury SUV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 9.1 seconds and reach a top speed of 127 mph.
STARTECH 2011 Jaguar XJ
Startech has published new details regarding their refinement program for the 2011 Jaguar XJ. Without touching anything in terms of mechanics, the German tuner has taken the British luxury sedan to the next level by fitting it with an aerodynamic kit matched by a set of custom alloy wheels and by giving the interior a whole range of exclusive options.
The aero kit is made from OEM quality components and besides giving the car an unique appearance it also helps generate more downforce, while the three-piece forged wheels are measuring 21 inch in size and feature “mirror-polished surfaces and titanium-look sections”.
Spied: BMW M6 Cabrio
Here is the first image that shows the 2012 BMW M6 Cabrio completely undisguised. This beefed up version of the regular drop top M6 was spied inside a parking lot at the Bayonne Military Ocean Terminal in New Jersey and from what you can easily see the Bavarians have applied the same recipe that proved successful so many times before.
We’re talking about the fact that the 2012 BMW M6 Cabrio received a sportier looking body kit comprising of restyled bumpers, fenders and side sills, a twin tailpipe dual exhaust system and high performance brakes with blue callipers housed behind the M style alloy wheels.
2012 MINI Countryman JCW Heading to Geneva
MINI will unveil the 2012 Countryman JCW (John Cooper Works) at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, but until that happens, here are a few photos that show a mildly disguised version testing in Austria in wintry conditions.
The 2012 MINI Countryman JCW comes with more aggressively styled bits and pieces, a dual exhaust system, a tweaked suspension that lowers the ride height by 10 mm and also contains larger diameter anti-roll bars, plus more potent brakes housed behind larger alloy wheels.
2015 Toyota Supra Hybrid Will Pack 400 HP
Rumors about a new Toyota Supra have been circulating on the web for a long time now, and with many details being just pure speculation it is hard to have an idea of what to expect from this upcoming model.
Well that could change because based on a new set of details presented by the crew from MotorTrend and their connections in Japan, it sound’s like the automaker’s Research and Development department is hard at work on a new Supra that will extract power from a hybrid system that will also integrate a 3.5-litre V6.
2013 Mercedes SL Official Photos Leaked
Yesterday we showed you a couple of brochure scans that contained the 2013 Mercedes SL, today we have something much better, the official photo gallery which the German automaker was supposed to keep secret until after their new roadster’s unveiling at the 2012 NAIAS next month.
Thanks to these new set of leaked images we can now clearly see what is going on with the new generation SL in terms of design.
Techart 2012 Porsche 911 Carrera Individualization Options
Techart, the well known German tuner specializing in taking Porsche models to new dimensions in terms of both performance and appearance, has introduced its first individualization options for the new 911 Carrera and Carrera S.
Starting with the exterior, the list of options includes at this point a set of forged light alloy wheels, various trim parts made from carbon fiber and four sport exhaust pipes made from polished aluminium.
