Bentley has recently published the type of powertrains that are being considered for the EXP 9 F SUV Concept which is showcased these days at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing.

The first one is the company’s flagship 6.0-litre W12 engine which develops 600bhp and 800 Nm of torque via an 8-speed close-ratio transmission, while the other two are a 4.0-litre V8 producing 500 bhp and a hybridized V6 that will enable a 30 Km full electric drive range, CO2 emissions of just 130 grams per Km and under 5 seconds 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) sprint times.

Land Rover and British fashion designer Victoria Beckham have collaborated in developing a special edition Range Rover Evoque.

The vehicle is based on the 4-seat coupe, and it features many bespoke luxury and sporting details along with the finest quality materials and craftsmanship.

On the outside the list of unique styling elements include the hand-finished paint coat, the 20 inch gloss black alloys with rose-gold accents and also the rose-gold plated grille surround and badges.

The Japanese from Toyota have also unveiled a couple of concepts at the Auto China 2012 in Beijing yesterday.

The first two are called Dear Qin and are basically two vehicle variants that preview an upcoming model for the global market.

The Dear Qin design studies are for a 4-door sedan and a 5-door hatchback, with the automaker claiming that we are looking at two vehicles that fallow new principles in terms of design, something which will also characterise the production version models as Toyota want to “attract more people to the user base”.

Apart from the Dear Qin sedan and hatchback concepts, Toyota has also unveiled a third study in Beijing called Yundong Shuangqing.

The Yundong Shuangqing is a compact four-door sedan aimed exclusively at the Chinese market, and even thought there are no powertrain details available at this point, Toyota said the vehicle uses a hybrid system primarily developed at the company’s R&D facility in Changshu, China.

The highlights of Honda’s stand at this year’s Beijing Auto Show are the Concept C and the Concept S.

The Concept C is an aggressive looking mid-size sedan that hints at an upcoming production model for the Chinese market, with Honda explaining that the letter C was chosen because it stands for ‘Cool’, ‘Challenge’ and ‘China’.

Its design is inspired by the image of a dragon, and production is expected to start in 2013.

Skoda has announced the badging for their upcoming compact hatch – the Rapid.

The Rapid which will basically be the production version of the Mission L Concept is going to arrive on the European market by the end of 2012, but the Czech automaker said it will also offer a Chinese version of Rapid from 2013.

Skoda CEO Winfried Vahland said ot the brand’s press conference in Beijing that “As part of its growth strategy, SKODA has initiated the largest model offensive in its corporate history and will bring a new vehicle to market every six months on average in the years ahead,” “the Rapid is our next new model. It has a central importance for our growth and will provide us with a strong tailwind on international markets.”

Jaguar will showcase the XJ Ultimate at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show this year, a model which represents the “pinnacle of the luxurious, innovative XJ experience with heightened levels of opulence for rear-seat passengers”.

Simply put, this is the LWB version XJ with extra added luxury for the Chinese market. Some of the highlights in this case include two individually tailored rear seats trimmed in semi-aniline premium natural leather, with power adjustment, lumbar support, massage and climate functions, a rear business table made from solid aluminum with a dedicated storage area with two champagne flutes beneath it, plus a champagne chiller between the rear seats.

Subaru has unveiled the 2013 Legacy Chinese spec at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition.
