BMW to offer 7 new diesel models in the US
BMW prepares a new strategy for the US market. The Munchen-based manufacturer will rely on diesel models to reduce the average CO2 emission of its range. A slideshow, leaked during a North American meeting, revealed that BMW plans to offer no more than 7 diesel version for its american clients.

GAD Motors revealed an 803HP Mercedes CLS 63 AMG
The German tuner GAD Motors revealed a performance program for the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG. The most powerful CLS 63 AMG offered by the Stuttgart carmaker is fitted with the AMG Performance Package and delivers 558 HP and 799 Nm. GAD Motors says that isn’t enough and increase the engine output to 803 HP (590 kW) and 1.149 Nm (847 lb-ft).

The BMW 116d EfficientDynamics driven by the team Green-Car-Guide achieved an average fuel economy of 103 mpg UK (equal to 85.8 mpg US and 2.7lt/100km) at the RAC Future Car Challenge 2012. This event took place between Brighton and London and it’s dedicated to vehicles such as electric, hybrid, hydrogen and low-emission conventional petrol and diesel models. The 64 mile challenge includes both uphill sections and traffic and the goal is to use the least amount of energy.

Volvo fast-charger promises 1.5 hour to recharge an electric vehicle
In an effort to reduce charging time for its future electric models, Volvo had developed a fast charging system, that is intended for common use in the next few years. Volvo claims that its new fast-charger can shorten recharging time to just 1.5 hours, operating six times faster than today’s on-board devices.
