Acura TL Special Edition now available in the US
The new 2013 Acura TL Special Edition is now on sale with a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $37,405. Joining the TL line as a mid-2013 model, the TL Special Edition offers a step up from the standard TL, with the addition of new upgrades.
Renault Clio GT-Line, available from 17.295 pounds in the UK
Renault has confirmed UK pricing and specification for the GT-Line 120 EDC. Priced at £17,395, the new version sits between the TCe 90 Dynamique S MediaNav and the 200hp range-topper.
Jaguar designer Ian Callum wins International designer of the year award
Ian Callum, Director of Design, Jaguar, has been declared ‘Interior Designer of the Year’ in the Automotive Interiors Expo Awards. The Automotive Interiors Expo Awards celebrate the world’s finest designers, innovations and products in the automotive interiors field. The nominations for the Interior Designer of the Year were made by automotive designers and interior specialists worldwide, the shortlist being judged by a panel of world-renowned journalists.
Lamborghini produced its 2000 Aventador
The Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 achieved and important milestone in its history, with the 2,000th vehicle produced. The Nero Nemesis car, chassis number 2,000, rolled off the assembly line destined for the United States.
Kia sold 500.000 cars in UK since 1991
The 500,000th Kia sold in the UK was a cee’d 1.6 CRDi hatchback purchased by Dale and Amy Pollard, a married couple from Leicester, from Kia’s Sandicliffe Leicester dealership. The handover ceremony for the new ‘13’ plate cee’d was held on the 28 May at the dealership.
Porsche sold 15.000 units in May
With 15,020 deliveries worldwide in May 2013, sports-car maker Porsche has outperformed the figure of the same month in the prior year by 13 percent. Up to now, 67,261 new autos of the model ranges made in Zuffenhausen and Leipzig were handed over to customers this year – a boost of 19 percent compared to the period of January to May 2012.
Caterham to debut in 2013 Le Mans 24h
British sportscar manufacturer Caterham will make its debut at the Le Mans 24 Hours this year (June 22/23), as it looks to further elevate its position as a global authority in sportscar development ahead of the launch of its brand new model in 2016.
2013 Nissan Micra gets an updated interior
Nissan has significantly updated the Micra with a round of changes so wide-ranging they go well beyond what usually constitutes a mid-term facelift. As well as a new look front and rear – complete with sheet metal changes – New Micra has been given a substantial interior makeover.
