2014 Lexus CT200h facelift unveiled
The world premiere of the 2014 Lexus CT 200h will take place at the 2013 Guangzhou Motor Show in China on Nov. 21. When the CT 200h was introduced in 2010 it was the world’s first full hybrid luxury compact car.
Subaru WRX teased
Fuji Heavy Industries, the maker of Subaru automobiles, today announced that it will exhibit the all-new Subaru “WRX” (US specifications model) as a world premiere at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show (Press day: November 20 and 21; Open to the public from November 22 through December 1, 2013). The iconic Subaru’s AWD performance model will be unveiled at the press briefing scheduled for 10:30 AM PST on November 20 at Subaru booth.
2014 Kia Soul EV detailed
Kia Motors has confirmed the development of an all-electric version of the Kia Soul, scheduled to go on sale in 2014. The ‘Kia Soul EV’ will be Kia’s first all-electric, zero-emissions vehicle marketed outside of Korea.
2013 Los Angeles Auto Show Design Challenge competitors
The Los Angeles Auto Show announced today that nine concepts were submitted by world-renowned auto design studios for this year’s Design Challenge, themed “Biomimicry & Mobility 2025 – Nature’s Answer to Human Challenges.” Each competitor’s mobility solution or system has been designed with nature’s inspiration while increasing function and addressing a variety of transportation topics, such as congestion, pollution, safety and sustainability. With biological knowledge doubling every five years, the 10th Design Challenge pushes automotive designers to explore new instruments and knowledge like never before.

2014 Opel Astra revealed with new engine
The German car manufacturer Opel has unveiled the 2014 Astra MY. The new model looks identical to its predecessor but it will feature a new engine and upgraded technologies.
According to Opel officials, the 2014 Astra can now be ordered with a 1.6 liter CDTI unit that offers 136 horsepower and 320 Nm peak of torque.
2014 Volkswagen Golf R available from 29.900 GBP
From today UK customers can place their orders for the most powerful production Golf yet, the 300 PS Golf R, ahead of the first deliveries in March 2014. Prices for the range-topping R start at £29,900 for the three-door model with six-speed manual gearbox, and £31,315 for the three-door with six-speed DSG gearbox. The five-door versions cost £30,555 and £31,970 respectively.
BMW Welt restaurant earns a Michelin Star
Within just eight months of the “EssZimmer†gourmet restaurant opening at the BMW Welt, Bobby Bräuer and his team have earned a Michelin star. “EssZimmer†joins the ranks of Germany’s top restaurants in record time. The honour was announced by Michelin Guide at a press conference held in Berlin on Thursday. The Michelin star is considered one of the highest gastronomic accolades. A total of 274 stars were awarded in the 2014 edition.
Jaguar F-Type Coupe to feature commercial during 2014 Super Bowl
Jaguar will launch a new brand and product advertising campaign, themed “British Villains,†to support the launch of the new Jaguar F-TYPE Coupe. The campaign will include the brand’s first television commercial produced specifically to run during the broadcast of the Super Bowl. The advert is scheduled for its broadcast debut on Fox during the second half of Super Bowl XLVIII, which takes place on 02 February 2014.
