Land Rover Defender by fashion designer Paul Smith
Land Rover and the fashion designer Sir Paul Smith have teamed up to deliver a one-off Defender. According to the British car manufacturer, the unique vehicle has been developed with some help from Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations design team.

Land Rover Defender by Prindiville Design
Prindiville, a London based tuner who recently announced that it is back in business, have presented their take on the Limited Edition Land Rover Defender.
Limited to 25 exemplars world-wide, this hand assembled Land Rover is based on the latest Defender 90 Hard Top model which comes with a 2.4-litre TDi engine under the hood coupled to a dual-range six-speed gearbox.
The 122 bhp produced as standard by this engine have been increased to 190 bhp and 460 Nm of peak torque, figures which enable the British model to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 10 seconds, which is pretty good considering the size and the weight of this car.

2011 IAA: Land Rover Defender DC100
Earlier today we promised to publish the new official photos with the Defender DC100, the new concept introduced in Frankfurt today by Land Rover along the DC100 Sport.
These models hint at what the 2015 Land Rover Defender will look like, with the concept versions being powered by 2.0-litre petrol or diesel engines featuring hybrid and plug-in capabilities. The Defender DC100 is also about presenting new advanced systems and testing advanced materials inspired from the aerospace industries.

Land Rover Defender DC100 Sport
Apart from the Defender DC100 Concept, for which will we publish new official photos a little bit later, Land Rover has also unveiled the Defender DC100 Sport today in Frankfurt.
These new concepts “build on the essential elements of the Defender’s character” ad also allow Land Rover to explore new ideas and make people dream about the new upcoming models.
The company says that the Land Rover Defender DC100 Sport Concept is an expression of freedom and leisure, based on a lightweight fixed-alloy platform and featuring cutting-edge hi-tech materials taken from the aerospace industries.

Land Rover DC100 Defender Concept
Land Rover has just unveiled two photos with their Frankfurt bound DC100 Defender Concept, a car which according to the automaker, will investigate a potential future direction for their iconic off-roader.
Developed by a team led by Gerry McGovern, the Land Rover DC100 Defender Concept features a functional and purposeful design, building uppon the essential elements of the car’s character and with this occasion the automaker has also announced that a production version of the new generation Defender will enter the market in 2015.

2012 Land Rover Defender gets new 2.2 litre turbo diesel
UK sales of the 2012 Defender begin in November with prices starting from £20,995 on the road.
The British marque started publishing photos and details with the 2012 Land Rover Defender, as the updated version will most likely be showcased at the automaker’s stand in Frankfurt in a few weeks.
Besides two new option packages, the 2012 Land Rover Defender comes with a new 2.2-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel engine which is compliant with the Euro 5 emission standards and replaces the previous 2.4-litre unit.
