Porsche France has published the first pictures and details of a special edition of the current Porsche 911. Its name is Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Le Mans Centenary Edition and will be available only for French market.

The car will be produced in 72 units – which represents the 72 years since Porsche started in the first Le Mans race. Also, the car was designed to honour the Le Mans centenary.

On the outside there is a special gray color – which derives from the old 356 SL, the first Porsche to compete in Le Mans – and has decals with number 46 (the same number as the 356 SL). Also, there are golden rims (as a reminiscent to those used by 911 GT1 Le Mans winner in 1998) and special logos.
