AC Schnitzer BMW 1 Series M Coupe
The well known BMW tuners from AC Schnitzer are presenting their aftermarket program for the 1 Series M Coupe.
This program will debut at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show and it contain both visual upgrades and a power pack. Externally the BMW 1 Series M Coupe features a carbon fibre front spoiler, a chromed lower grille, a pair of bonnet vents, custom lightweight alloys (19 or 20 inch / Type VIII or Type V forged wheels) plus a boot lid lip and a rear roof spoiler.
Mercedes SLS AMG New Options
Daimler is introducing a new series of options for the Mercedes SLS AMG.
These include AMG’s 10-spoke design forged wheels (3,272.50 Euro), red painted brake callipers (714.20 Euro), the new AMG Sepang brown metallic finish (2,439.50 Euro), the AMG high-gloss black trim (2,320 Euro) plus the Blind Sport Assist feature (773.50 Euro).
However, the most notable new optional extra is the AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension with adaptive damping. This feature costs 2,320.50 Euro varies the damping characteristics of the suspension almost instantly, reducing body roll angle and improving the car’s agility. The AMG RIDE CONTROL sport suspension allows three settings (Comfort, Sport and Sport Plus) and depending on the selected model the car will try to achieve the best balance between comfort and dynamic performance.
Eterniti Hemera Super SUV Unveiled
British company Eterniti Motors have released the first st of images with their Frankfurt bound Hemera Super SUV.
Expected to “bring new levels of luxury and performance to the SUV segment” the Eterniti Hemera will be hand built in London (production scheduled to start in 2012), and based on these new details that were unveiled today, the car will produce over 620 bhp and will hit a top speed in excess of 180 mph.
We still have to wait for more photos with the Eterniti Hemera, both with the exterior and interior, before we can draw a conclusion, but at this point we would say it resemble with the segment leading Cayenne quite a lot.
Promo Video: Volkswagen Beetle Accessories
A recent promo video published by the German automaker marks the new range of accessories available for the new generation 2012 Volkswagen Beetle.
Some of these enhancements enable Beetle owners to customize their car with bonnet stripes, upper side skirt stickers and entry sill plates that could read ‘Bettle’, ‘Bug’ or ‘Kafer’, new badges at the back, unique alloys plus aluminium pedals.
Kia GT Concept
It seems that Korean automaker Kia could not keep their Frankfurt bound RWD concept surrounded in mystery until its actual premiere at the time of the show.
A new set of images that leaked over the Internet are not only revealing more of its exterior, but are also providing a first peak inside the four-door coupe, plus uncover the fact that this concept’s name will be the Kia GT.
2012 Mercedes C Class Coupe DTM Teaser Video
Mercedes has published a teaser video with the 2012 C Class Coupe DTM AMG, a new generation racer which will be unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show by Formula 1 drivers Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosberg.
The footage features Mercedes DTM driver Gary Paffett who offers a short walkaround the 2012 C Class Coupe DTM while giving short peaks under the sheet covering the new racer. As you will see the car will feature a chromed exterior finish, new tires and a gigantic rear wing.
2012 BMW 1 Series Performance Accessories
As it announced its vehicle lineup scheduled to go in display at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, the Bavarian company has also said it will introduce a new range of accessories for the 2012 BMW 1 Series.
Characterized by outstanding quality and designed to meet the latest safety standards, the range of 2012 BMW 1 Series Performance Accessories include sportier looking bumpers, restyled side sills, carbon fiber door mirrors and unique 19 inch alloy wheels
Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 2.2
Mugen decided to inject an extra dose of power into the Honda Civic Type R, a hot hatch which debuted in 2010 as a limited run model of only 20 exemplars.
In order to obtain the extra power that we just mentioned, Mugen’s Euro division has increased the the engine’s cylinder bore and stroke and created an overall capacity of 2,156 cc. This way the output was boosted from 240 to 260 PS while peak torque is now 240 Nm at 6,000 rpm, which means the Honda Civic Type R MUGEN 2.2 is 30 percent more potent than the standard model.
Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 Price
The French manufacturer has put a price tag on the world’s first full diesel hybrid – the 3008 HYbrid4.
The car is already available for pre-ordering in the UK, and as you may now, the best feature regarding this model is its powertrain which combines a 2.0-litre turbo diesel with two electric motors in order to provide a total of 200 bhp and consumption/emission figures of 74 mpg (UK rating) and 99 g/Km of CO2.
The diesel engine spins the front axle, while the electric motors spin the rear wheels. This enables the Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 to act like a 4WD car, which means is is suitable to all driving conditions.
2012 Toyota Tacoma Price
The Japanese firm has announced pricing for the modestly revised 2012 Toyota Tacoma pickup. The car is available in three cab styles : Regular Cab, Access Cab and 4-door Double Cab with 4×2 and 4×4 configuration, and will begin arriving at dealerships across the US in September 2011.
Engine options includes a 2.7-litre 4-cylinder DOHC unit rated at 159 HP and 180 lb-ft of torque and a 4.0-litre DOHC V6 which will provide 236 HP and 266 lb-ft of torque. Both these engine feature Variable Valve timing (VVT-i) and an Electronic Throttle Control System that helps optimize performance and fuel consumption.
