The Dutch from Autoblog.nl have come across an image from a media event that indicates the 2013 Porsche Boxster S has lapped the Nurburgring in 7 minutes 58 seconds.

If this is true then the new Boxster S is a seriously engineered car because with just a few extra horses over the previous version it has managed to become faster than the Corvette C6, Viper SRT-10 or C63 AMG Coupe.

The Brits from AutoExpress have done something that no-one has done quite yet, compare the Nissan Juke R against the 2012 Nissan GT-R on track.

As you may know the Juke R uses a GT-R sourced engine, but an engine which does not come from the 2012 year model version, so it produces with around 50 HP less than the coupe shown here.

The Juke R is also around 60 Kg heavier and due to the fact that new GT comes with a revised chassis and transmission, the aggressive looking crossover s clearly in disadvantage.

Nissan has unveiled its experimental DeltaWing racecar which is going to participate at this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours endurance race.

The car is powered by a race-prepared, Nissan sourced 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine, featuring direct petrol injection and a turbocharger (DIG-T), for which the performance figures remain unspecified at this point.

With the DeltaWing project Nissan is “aiming to change the face of endurance racing forever” due to the fact that we are talking about something that is half the weight and has half the aerodynamic drag of a conventional racer.
