Ken Block’s Gymkhana 5 Released
The fifth installment of Ken Block’s Gymkhana video series has been released online. The playground for this latest clip is San Francisco, where Block is once again hooning his 650 HP Force Fiesta rally car in an effort to promote the DC Shoes brand but also to showcase his precise driving skills.
Some of the most memorable stunts this time involved Block getting his Fiesta airborne at the top pf Russian Hill, drifting sideways while in mid-air and burning rubber on a barge in the middle of San Francisco bay.
2014 Mazda6 Teaser
Mazda has published a teaser video which offers a peak at the 2014 Mazda6. Even though we only get too see the grille section and parts of the headlights, it is enough to understand that the upcoming model is very closely related to the Takeri concept.
With an overall appearance created by using the KODO styling principles, Chief Designer Akira Tamatani added that “The deeply sculpted face with sharp eyes gazing forward, defined by the chrome ‘signature wing’, instantly conveys to onlookers that this must be Mazda’s new flagship sedan.”
Mercedes CLS 63 AMG Shooting Brake – Photos and Details
After Mercedes presented the new CLS Shooting Brake we knew that it would only be a matter of time until an AMG version will also be unveiled.
Just like the CLS 63 AMG saloon, the Shooting Brake version uses a 5.5-litre biturbo V8 to produce 525 HP and 700 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 5,250 rpm, figures which can be increased to 550 HP and 800 Nm of torque with the optional Performance Package.
2013 Opel Adam Revealed
Opel and its UK counterpart, Vauxhall have unveiled the new urban-chic small car, the Adam.
This new addition to the range which was named after the company’s founder, Adam Opel, will compete against the Fiat 500 in the ‘fashion-led A-sector’ with some of the highlights in terms of apearance for this new model, being the ‘floating’ roof that enables the use of two-tone colour schemes, the wing shaped chrome grille bar, the blade shape in the lower doors, the crisp line around the door handles and the LED daytime running lights.
2013 Renault Clio Revealed
As promised, the French automaker has provided details and photos with the fourth generation Renault Clio today, a vehicle which will be seen in the flesh at the Paris Motor Show later this year.
The 2013 Clio is the first model to feature the new Renault Corporate identity, with a design described as a major shift from the previous models, and an interior that is “safe, protective and refreshing”.
2013 McLaren MP4-12C Spider Unveiled
The spider version McLaren MP4-12C has just been unveiled by the British sports car manufacturer. The vehicle is already available for ordering through the 38 McLaren retailers in 22 countries, and the only thing that differentiates this version from the coupe, is its retractable hard top (RHT).
Antony Sheriff, McLaren Automotive Managing Director said that “While the 12C is the technological essence of a race car, the 12C Spider incorporates an additional dimension. 12C Spider owners will love the opportunity to lower the roof and hear the unhindered howl of a V8 twin turbo engine at full throttle. It undoubtedly enhances an already euphoric 12C driving experience.
New Renault Clio MK4 Leaked
Renault is expected to fully unveiled the new Clio MK4 later today, but untill they decide to publish the full press release and the corresponding photos, we already have a leaked image that will get you a first peak at the fourth generation hatch.
The image has appeared by mistake on the company’s European websites so we now know exactly what to expect once the car will have its public debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall.
Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake Unveiled
The highly anticipated Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake was finally unveiled by the German automaker during the weekend after a series of leaked photos has started to circulate around the web.
The car is described as having the proportions of a coupe, and we have to admit that even though we had our doubts at first, the CLS Shooting Brake does indeed look very good.
2013 Hyundai Santa Fe UK Price
Hyundai’s new generation SUV, the 2013 Santa Fe, is going on sale in the UK starting from October 15th this year.
The base Santa Fe which is the 5-seat 2.2-litre CRDi Style 2WD model equipped with a manual transmission, starts at 25,495 GBP while the range topping 2.2 CRDi 4WD automatic that offers seating for seven will carry a price tag that reads 34,395 GBP.
Gymkhana Five Teaser
Ken Block is continuing the Gymkhana series, and the next teaser video is proof of that. The Gymkhana Five stunt clip will be shown in full on July 9, but until then you can check you Block hooning his Ford Fiesta WRC on a barge in the middle of San Francisco bay.
The footage which also offers a view of the Bay Bridge, was shot from a helicopter, and is matched with the Europe’s ‘Final Countdown’ playing in the background.
