Toyota begins Yaris production for United States and Canada markets
Toyota announced that its production subsidiary in France held a ceremony today in Valenciennes to mark the start of “Yaris” subcompact production on May 6 for export to the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.

VIDEO: BMW M5 drift world record caught on tape
BMW published the first video of its stock M5 that shattered the Guinness World Record for longest sustained drift. The M5 exceeded the previous record set in February in Abu Dhabi by 47.71 miles. A total of 322.5 laps were completed around the 841-foot (circumference) Performance Center skid pad, providing a total distance-travelled of 51.278 miles.

Volkswagen Group delivered 3 million vehicles until april
The Volkswagen Group delivered 3.05 (January-April 2012: 2.89; +5.6 per cent)* million vehicles from January to April, topping the three million mark for the first time for the first four months of a year. The company handed over 784,600 (April 2012: 731,900; +7.2 per cent)* vehicles to customers in the month of April.

The sale itself also realised a record total of over £10 million, with every lot sold.
