First official pictures of the Porsche LMP1 Prototype
Porsche has published the first pictures of the LMP1 prototype. This model will compete in the World Endurance Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2014. The prototype was tested in front of the company’s board by the Timo Bernahard.
2014 Ford Fiesta gets an estimated 41 mpg on highway cycle
The new 2014 Ford Fiesta has achieved 41 mpg in EPA testing. Fiesta is the only subcompact car to surpass 40 mpg. The fuel economy claim is for Fiesta SE with the Super Fuel Economy package that includes Ford’s 1.6-liter engine and PowerShift automatic transmission. Along with the EPA-certified 41 mpg highway rating, Fiesta achieves 30 mpg in the city and 34 mpg combined.
Volkswagen Amarok Edition launched in UK at 22.495 pounds
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is launching a special edition version of its highly acclaimed Amarok pick-up. Called the Amarok edition, it’s based on the popular Trendline specification but includes more than £3,400 of additional equipment, representing a customer saving of over £2,000. As well as added value, it also offers more style and exclusivity, with just 300 vehicles available to UK customers.
Audi A1 e-tron gets improved
The new generation of the Audi A1 e-tron is more powerful. The electric motor drives the front wheels via a single-speed gearbox and produces 85 kW of peak power and maximum torque of 300 Nm (221.27 lb-ft). The sprint from zero to 100 km/h (62.14 mph) only takes 9.8 seconds; its acceleration ends at a governed top speed of 130 km/h (80.78 mph).
