McLaren continues to tease its future Sports Series model, already announced and teased through a special video. The supercar, set to be positioned below the current 650S, will be unveiled during next year Geneva Motor Show, scheduled to open its gates at the beginning of March.
 
Exterior
 
The new Sports Series teaser shows us a camouflaged body, with a an opening door. The car will inherit the butterfly opening of its older brothers, the P1 and the 650S. This means it will also feature carbon fiber body.
 
Engine
 
As you would expect from a company that has an immense heritage in Formula 1, McLaren will use some technology found in its racing cars, including a mid-mounted V8 engine. Codenamed P13, the Sports Series will include more versions, some of which will be convertibles, coupes and performance models.
 
The supercar will be capable of reaching a top speed of under 300 km/h (186 mph) and sprint from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in under four seconds. The price is already estimated at around 200.000 euro.
 
Launch Campaign 
 
The launch campaign will plot the history over 13 chapters of true game-changing – Black Swan – moments from around the world and within McLaren’s. Over the course of the coming weeks, McLaren Automotive will be using the hashtag #BlackSwanMoments to tell stories that have truly changed and challenged people’s beliefs.
