I have told you that Ford will launch an electric version of the Puma crossover in 2024. But there are a lot of interesting news coming from the electric side.

In a recent announcement, Ford has said that the Cologne facility will soon become an electric hub. There are planned some major investments, and on the list you’ll find some new assembly lines for future electric cars.

The first electric car produced by Ford in Cologne will be a medium-size crossover that will be based on MEB platform. This is the same architecture that Volkswagen is using for its current electric line-up. According to Ford, the new crossover will offer about 500 kilometers of range.

This new electric car will be launched in 2023, a year ahead of the Puma EV debut. Also in 2023, Ford will launch another electric SUV. It is described as a sport crossover, but we don’t have any other details about it.

As a result, the passenger line-up developed by Ford will soon have four electric vehicles.
