The latest video coming from the guys at Drivers Republic presents two Hot Hatches battling on the Silversone circuit : the Ford Focus RS vs Renault Megane R26.R.
The Ford Focus RS is powered by a turbocharged Duratec 2.5-litre, 5-cylinder engine that packs 301 bhp at 6500 rpm and 324 lb-ft (440Nm) of torque between 2300 and 4500 rpm. Also the 2009 Ford Focus RS specs indicate a top speed of 260 km/h (164 mph) with 5.9 seconds needed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph).
The Renault Megane R26.R extracts power from a 2.0 litre 4-cylinder unit that is able to develop 227 bhp at 5500 rpm and 229 lb-ft of torque. As for the Renault Megane R26.R specification, performance figures indicate a 6 seconds sprint time form 0 to 100 Km/h (62 mph) and a top speed of 237Km/h (147 mph).
