Alpine officials have announced a few months ago that the company will become an electric one. The first model is set to be unveiled this year and will go on sale in 2023.

But until than, Alpine has decided to show us a proper sports EV model. Based on the current A110, the French manufacturer has developed the Alpine A110 E-ternity concept car.

Equipped with Megane electric batteries and with one electric motor at the back with over 240 horsepower, Alpine has managed to develop a nimble car. It is only 260 kilos heavier compared to the combustion engine one, and has similar performances.

Aside for the battery pack and electric motor, Alpine has developed with Getrag a special dual clutch dual speed automatic transmission for the car.

Also, this is for the first time when Alpine A110 comes with a retractable roof. It is not a convertible per-se, but a big chunk of the roof can be removed.
