Lexus has published the first teaaser picture of the upcoming IS model. The new 2021 Lexus IS was initially scheduled for debut in 9 June, but today, the Japanese car manufacturer announced us it will postpone the event. The new unveiling date will be announced soon.

More than that, the 2021 Lexus IS won’t be available in Europe which might be a first hint that the car manufacturer is looking to deliver its models only when they can perform really good.

The new Lexus IS will use the same underpinnings as the previous version instead of switching to TNGA-L platform.

Some reports are suggesting that the engine will be carried over as well. But there is a catch. The IS 500 might not get the V8. Instead, the range topping model will be equipped with a twin-turbo V6 unit which can deliver 416 horsepower and 600 Nm peak of torque in LS 500.
