Jeep will skip this year Paris Motor Show and will concentrate on its home turf. The US manufacturer will use this year Los Angeles Motor Show to introduce its new generation Compass, a model that comes after nine years of wait. Thats right. The current model is on the market since 2007.

The first pictures show us a new Compass that resembles the design language we see on its bigger brother, the Grand Cherokee. The first pictures were shown in celebration of the start of production at FCA’s Jeep Assembly Plant in Goiana, Pernambuco, in Brazil.

A global new compact SUV, the Jeep Compass will be produced with 17 powertrain options for consumers in more than 100 countries around the world.

The all-new Jeep Compass expands the brand’s global reach with a combination of attributes that includes best-in-class 4×4 off-road capability, advanced powertrains, premium Jeep design, superior on-road driving dynamics, open-air freedom, and a host of safety and advanced technology offerings.
