Ford has unveiled today the brand-new 2015 Mustang GT pace car that will start its work at the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at the Michigan International Speedway on June 15th
 
According to Ford, the car will be driven by Ford President of the Americas Joe Hinrichs, and features an LED light bar, racing livery and unique decals specially developed to celebrate the Mustang’s 50th anniversary. In addition, the Ford Mustang pace car features a 5.0 liter V8 engine rated at 420 horsepower and 528 Nm of torque. 

“With its proximity to the Motor City, Michigan International Speedway is a showcase for the auto industry. To have Mustang – a brand born of racing – in this special anniversary year, leading some of the world’s best drivers to the green flag, is special. We know our fans will enjoy seeing it out on the track", said Ford director of U.S marketing Chantel Lenard.
