Volkswagen up Price

UK pricing for the new Volkswagen up has just been announced, as the new city car will arrive at dealerships in spring 2012 and is already available for ordering.

Promising to offer 'big car space' in a compact body, the Volkswagen up comes in three-door body styles, with four seats at the interior, three trim levels (Take up!, Move up! and High up!) and a special edition (the up! black and up! white).

Engine options at launch will include two 1.0-litre 3-cylinder petrols, rated at 60 PS or 75 PS, both exclusively mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Volkswagen is also offering the up under the BlueMotion Technology version which is expected to return 67.2 mpg (UK rating) and emits 97 grammes of CO2 per Km.

The Volkswagen up price for UK starts at 7,995 GBP and reaches 11,180 GBP. Standard features(on the basic Take up!) include body-coloured bumpers, daytime running lights, front and side head/thorax airbags, the new RCD 215 CD radio with aux-in, rear ISOFIX points and 14-inch steel wheels.

As we move up in the range we arrive to the Move up! which costs 8,970 GBP and comes with remote central locking, electric front windows, air conditioning, a height-adjustable driver's seat, slip/fold rear seats and body coloured exterior mirrors and door handles.

On the third trim level, the High up! (which starts at  0,390 GBP and features the 75 PS engine) the automaker offers front heated seats, a steering wheel wrapped in leather, electric/heated door mirrors, 15 inch alloy wheels,  the Maps & More personal infotainment system and front fog lights.    

The High up! is also the basis for the special edition Volkswagen up black and up white that starts from 11,180 GBP and which comes with pure white metallic paint or in a deep black pearl finish, chrome mirror casings and door side strips, 16 inch alloy wheels, a body coloured dashboard, special upholstery and unique floor mats.
